You know, Huwbot, a Christmas set would have been appropriate.

The odds of that randomly happening seem to be 1836272:1 1/2.

Random set on Christmas is truly random, would’ve been awesome if it had been a Christmas set. Oh well, there’s always next year...

By in Australia,

I was so hoping we'd get a Christmas set from Huwbot today, too, but I guess it just wasn't fated today.

Today's set is a tribute of employees of the Red Cross who help us after slipping on ice, eating/drinking too much on Holiday dinner, or having accident with the axe carving the tree into the stand. It is christmassy to me!

This is probably just Huw[bot] trying to throw us off of his trail. But we're on to you, "bot"!

Also, Merry Christmas all (or Happy Holidays (or Happy Tuesday)).

I love that era, every set was a classic (Well, most of them). We were not getting a zillion sets every year, so we cherished everything we got. I don't have this set, but thank god, I had the chance to get many of my favorites.

I volunteered for the American Red Cross on the Disaster Action Team for a few months once. My supervisor was this really weird veteran of the War on Terror and while we were working he made up all these ridiculous lies about being accepted to a bunch of famous medical schools and working for a bunch of famous companies, then asked if I wanted to have sex but if I didn't it was OK, because he wasn't gay. I declined but spent the rest of the shift thinking about what I kind of sharp-edged instruments I could use to defend myself in the car in the event he got sexually aggressive.

The next shift, the lady who was in charge of the building told me that he had a mental breakdown shortly afterwards and was no longer allowed on the premises. Anyway, the Red Cross is filled with interesting characters, and this set kind of reflects that, but they never go anywhere alone, so it should really have more than one minifig.
