So ... what exactly are they?
Hard to believe these "hockey players" are an official set. Looks like something I threw together in 5 minutes from my parts bin. And minus the Bionicle masks (and a few tow hooks, I know I have one from a Tiny Turbos set), I very well think I could. I even have a similar hockey puck from a Happy Meal from this time.
But, not a bad value for $4, a game for two player. Just now sure how well this would work.
@cody6268 Those aren't even BIONICLE masks - they're shoulder pads!
Augh! Evil bug attack!
nice to see the bohrok va getting a sports league together!
This is the result of bionicle and hockey having a baby.
I'm proud to say I have none of these sets.
For all you neophytes, this is exactly what hockey looks like.
Again, one of the greatest sets ever made! Though I'm still waiting for the grand return of Clikits...
This was the strangest set I've ever seen.
I think that a good set from Lego should give you the ability to build something else than official build without adding other parts. With that being said, this one is for me the worst kind of set, not only does it looks strange, it's play value is mediocre and there is not much also one can build from these parts.
If Lego had gone bankrupt in the early 2000s, you'd point to garbage like this as evidence of straying away from their core audience.
They look like a scrawny, awkward, less cute impersonation of the McToran. Hafu would be ashamed of whoever sculpted them!
These are dirt cheap. And they both have a function: if you hit their 'heads', their 'legs' close, which can shoot the puck. With two you can even have a game of sorts.
Quit treating them as display pieces or figures. It's silly.
Its a $4 polybag set to, so really it earns some marks for incorporating a cool play feature.
Tbh I think the hockey stuff had an interesting aesthetic and I don't really get the hate. I prefer to imagine them as hockey-playing robots rather than trying to be realistic representations of people
Good Guy and Bad Guy's sportier cousins
I actually have this set! It’s pretty cool actually, despite all the hate in the comments...
Dat price/piece tho
