Rivals that of the modern day in style and elegance. Nothin beats it. Look at those building techniques! We need more of this in today’s world.

I loved that pigtail hairpiece. I remember being excited by the straight hairpiece when it debuted, but still liked the pigtails better.

I know it’s never going to happen, I’d love to see small sets like this make a comeback. It was so great to know there was a good chance that I’d get a LEGO sets everytime I went to the store with my dad when these small sets were on the shelves. There used to be so many small sets.

Quite a lot of play value in such a tiny set that would, most likely, be a polybag today. While due to the whole Greenpeace flap over Lego and Shell that caused the two to part ways, I still think we could see another set like this with Octan markings.

And I've just gotta say it--Fill 'er Up!

Aren't those a bit small to be gas pumps, or do they just look super different here in America?

Wow. This was the first set I received as a child. Well done, random set generator for the trip down memory lane!

@MataNui2009 Actually, that's what gas pumps looked like back in the 70's and 80's in America.
Great little set!

By in Hungary,

Not much different from current extra (xtra?) accessory packs in terms of functionality. The absence of a mini is offset by more parts.

Finally !!!! My very first LEGO set. That minifig is the responsible that today, after 38 years I'm still in the Hobby, and I even never had dark ages... I was lucky enough to buy one MISB few weeks ago at a reasonable price.

BEST SET EVER :)

And people today complain about sets relying on stickers.

Totally forgot about this set. It really hit my LEGO nostalgia button. What a warm and fuzzy feeling that is :-)
