By in United States,

Battle pack with FIVE figures?? Now we’re talkin.

Daylight savings pushes the RSotD back an hour. It was agonizing to wait for! It represents the high point of my day...sometimes.

I loved a nice chest full of those gold coins. That was a coveted item at a young age when “interesting” pieces were less readily available.

^ it's better to die on your feet, than to live on your knees.

By in Australia,

I really like the blue pirate's torso print. The armada uniforms are also cool and well done.

By in Australia,

These new pirates and armada minifigs had really lovely, intricate detail on their outfits and torso pieces.

But at this point, Pirates as a theme was, what? Walking the plank? Taking on water? Slipping under the waves? Being circled by sharks? There's a surprising amount of nautical metaphors that work.

Classic pirates is so underrated, why is that??? Epic theme!

By in Hungary,

Never was really into the Armada wave, as good of a new idea it was, the execution always felt half-baked. The ship has sailed for the theme pretty much by then.

Oh, sweet nostalgia. This is like running into your childhood best friend at your 50's.

Minifigure sets are always nice. Too bad this one was only sold in North America. :(

Wow, this set has Captain Redbeard, a skeleton, a full set of gold coins and a chrome armor piece, all for just 6$...

One of the first sets I got as a kid- I had a pirate themed birthday and my parents decorated the cake with the figures from this pack. The hook hand has since broken, unfortunately and I'm sure the chest plate is no longer so shiny.

Awesome! I love it. I've always wanted this pack. I have an older one from the Pirates theme.

@Vorahk1Panrahk2 - You know, my parents did that same thing for me a couple of years later with the Rock Raiders equivalent of this set (a theme that I THOROUGHLY fell in love with as a result x3). I'm not sure if Lego ever foresaw their 'character set' packs being put to use as cake toppers, but they were certainly perfect for it :D

I also once had a Lego themed birthday with a red 2x4 brick cake (A sheet cake with cupcakes for the studs) and various Power Miners were put on it (my idea.) I'm still unsure if the burn marks on their faces were intentionally printed or caused by the candles.

I want those Armada helmets back!

This should have had six minifigures. Then it would have cost a buck an ear.
