Technic three days in a row... What is this sorcery!?
Oh. Well here we go again. Huwbot and his biased unrandom repetitive episodic self. (Anyone have any other adjectives?)
A couple of days ago (on the first technic set) I said how technic hadn’t changed too much. Thank goodness I was wrong.
Geez, we are on a Yellow Technic Set run at the moment, aren't we?
OTOH, this one actually has one of those Technic figures. I imagine there will be wild rejoicing in the streets.
Those were great solid rubber tyres back then.
Random doesn't mean 'always different'. Clusters of similar things are much more likely than an even mix.
May I have a side dish of Clickits, and a City for a drink lol. Oh, and Creator for dessert.
Back then, having suspension and the new v2 engine block in a small set was a big improvement over standart single cylinder old-school engine. Of course, no need to mention the excitement we felt when it came with a Technic figure.
This set was incredibly important to me as a child, providing a fascinating building experience that forged a bridge between System and Technic.
I love modern Technic, but do miss the bricks.
Since someone has to go first every time these come up, let it be me this time: Can Lego please bring back these Technic figures!
Scored some a while ago and my kids use them in their Technic sets from now, or the creator T1 Camper Van etc...
This looks like a perfect midsize Technic set- you get suspension, steering mechanism, engine block, figure and two very different cars. Lovely set.
And the yellow technic trend continues! This one’s even got a yellow dude just to add to the theme
I had that figure - albeit with a different coloured helmet - from 8712 (incidentally, the oldest set I've ever owned), which I acquired in a big box of old technic parts from someone's house clearance sale. They were cool... but they never seemed very durable, in my experience.
I suppose, since Technic is aimed for an older audience, they didn't need to be able to withstand rough play in the same way a minifigure would. But still... it was a little alarming when the clips holding their ankles in place proved quite prone to breaking.
Never liked the Technic Guys. Call me crazy, but I buy Technic to satisfy the mechanical engineer inside me, not to play with dolls.
Nobody understand statistics.
This was my first Technic set! And I still have it built and on display. For a little set this has a lot going on . . . suspension and even an engine with pistons.
And yes I like the figure . . . if nothing else because they were different.
Also the description says "minifigure." Is that description automatically generated, because I'm not sure the Technic figures should be called minifigs?
we want classic space we want classic space lol
Yellow Technic day three, give it up for day three!
Woot yellow technic! My kids and I just rebuilt the Jeep from 8020 a couple nights ago--they love the gears. Also for the record, no one would have predicted 3 technic sets in a row, therefore random!
I wish LEGO put these figures back into their sets.
