What in the world...

My mind comprehends 2001: A Space Odyssey more than this pile of bricks. ;-) It doesn’t even really look like a “batbot.” I know three year olds who dream up things that make more sense.

I guess points for creativity??

Awesome use of minifig leg pieces to represent fingers.

@Your future president: It's... a robot? With wings? And claws? And bat ears? It's not the most complex or interesting set, to be sure, but that doesn't mean it's a particularly hard concept to grasp.

Also, that "minifigure legs as fingers" technique is a blast from the past for me. You don't see it as often as you used to now that there are so many smaller hinge bits like robot arms, but back in the day that was a go-to mecha technique. Same for the less-"legal" technique of removed minifigure arms as fingers. I don't miss having to rely on techniques like those, but it puts into perspective how much the MOCing game has changed even in the past decade or so.

Who else saw the word “batbot” and was then confused because it didn’t seem related to Batman at all?

I remember always looking at the Brickmaster program as a kid with envy... A set every couple of months!? Heck yes!

It's a Creator set, trying to be a Batman set after the license had been dropped. How interesting. How did that not partially get people in trouble?

Love his hands!
Yet another set that looks like it was made from leftovers of other sets.

This terrifies me! Great set for a random set of the day though. And the pants for fingers, that’s inspired.

There were a lot of great sets, and a whole lot of weird ones too that came out of the Brickmaster specials.

However points for using pants as hands.
