Is this theme going to make a comeback Huwbot?

Racers are on a roll. At least it wasn't Clikits or Bellville.

I'm cringing in horror at all those stickers, though.

As opposed to happy-cringing, I suppose.

Racers seems to be the new Clikits based on the frequency of RSOD entries.

By in Turkey,

I like this theme. There are some really creative cars in this series. Vans and hotrods are among my favorites. They look so sporty.

I'd like to see 8131 show up. It's my favourite tiny turbo, because it looks like a 1990s group c car. I'm also not sure exactly what about this car makes it "rally", it just looks like a sports car with weird exhausts.

so many cars lately. has huwbot been watching Top Gear?

I actually still have this car built, complete with the plastic canister. It was always one of my favorite Racers tiny turbos.

Not much ground clearance for a rally car. :P

I checked the bricklist and it's not just a feeling, there really has been quite a few Racers lately. After being kind consistent (~1 per month) they start bunching up, but these last 10 days have really seen a Clikits-like influx.

@TransNeonOrangeSpaceman: I think a lot of those themes like Bionicle or Clikits or Racers show up a lot for two main reasons:

•They all ran for multiple years during the 2000s, after LEGO started retiring old sets and introducing new sets at a more regular pace. By comparison, the 80s and early 90s when themes might have one year with lots of sets and then several years of smaller follow up waves to keep things fresh while the bigger waves remained on shelves as the theme’s backbone.

•These themes revolved around large numbers of low-priced sets, instead of large numbers of sets more evenly distributed between low, medium, and high price points like a more typical theme.
