Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random set is 1740 (Unnamed), released in 1994. It's one of 29 Town sets produced that year. It contains 16 pieces and 1 minifig.
It's owned by 110 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you might find it for sale at BrickLink or eBay.

Sailing down the river, in a set with no name.
First RSotD with no name, as far as I can tell.
Can't get more random than this one!
Unnamed?? Hmm. This leaves me feeling empty on the inside.
Let’s make a name for it. Any suggestions? Whoever picks the best name gets...um...
Huwbot’s unending gratitude.
Best set name ever.
We never got any of these sets in Australia, although I imagine they'd be very easy to assemble from spare parts.
Very random indeed, name suggestion:
Roderick's river day, with his rowboat Susanna
Charles with his boat, Mr. Red!
What? "Sailing"? Uh, better check that image again.
As for a proper name, "Kayak McKayakFace" is the only appropriate option.
^ I like both of those names.
'Row Row Row Your Red Boat...Gently Down a Stream.'
Had this. Came as part of a three pack if i remember right.
@ArielHairRaph: Correct: 1720-1 Cactus Canyon, which also included 1741-1 and 1742-1.
I have it in NZ. Had to import it when new from USA seller. Was part of 1720 Cactus Canyon Value Pack.
@Supertaco77 That's almost as many words as the set has pieces!
Any chance one of you 110 owners can get a better set picture?
You see I've rowed through the desert in a boat with no name
It felt good to be out of the Dane
In the desert you can remember your name
But I ain't got one so it gives me such pain
La, laaaa, laaaa, la, lala, la, lala, la, laaaa, laaaa
La, laaaa, laaaa, la, lala, la, lala, la, laaaa, laaaa...
1740 Extremely Short Canoe
I name this set . . .
Jeff
^^^That's more like it, MCLegoboy!
After nine days, I let the boat sink,
'Cause the river made me think,
there's names for cars, and plants, and things,
There's Race, Space, and Lord of the Rings.
The Aquazone is a desert with its bricks underground,
and an unnamed expanse above,
Above Lego City flies a white Boba Fett,
but the white rangefinder gets no love!
You see I've rowed through the desert in a boat with no name,
it felt good to get out of the Dane...
No name, no good image, no one owns this set, I think Huwbot finally has found the most random set
Genuinely wouldn’t have guessed the piece count was as high as 16 even with the Minifigs accessories
"Moon river, wider than a mile"
'Airplane' because it clearly isn't.
Who wears a race car helmet when kayaking down what appears to be a very calm stream???
I wonder why it was never named. 1740 Red Kayak or 1740 Kayaker would work I think.
1740 Ultimate Collector Series Luxury Cruiser
His name is Dave.
1740 red kayak
The First of His Name
King of the Andals and the first men
Ruler of the seven kingdoms and protector of the realm
Never heard of this set before. I'd imagine it wasn't available in Germany at the time. Sure can't find it in any catalogue from back in the day.
Michael Schumacher goes kayaking.
Okay guys. I guess we're done. The search for the most random set ever has ended. Time to shut down Brickset.
I got this set in the cactus canyon value pack for a buck at a garage sale
Bowser: Just you wait for THREE Clikits sets in a row BUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
When you have so much leisure time you forget your name.
@Lego Lord Mayorca, Yeeeeeeeah! XD
Boaty McBoatface?
