It's only been up for an hour and a half, give it a chance.

But yeah. as someone that doesn't do much with technic this doesn't really excite me. I'm also trying to figure out the 3-in-1 thing. There's a vehicle, a trailer, and the helicopter, but there's also a different vehicle, different trailer, and a sub. Isn't that 6-in-1? You can just only build a set of 3 at a time. And since when do trailers really count as something you want separate from a thing that tugs it? I say that then brings it down to 4 in 1. I'm overthinking all of it, I know, but why not?

Come back, Technic figures; all is forgiven.

Don't know about the 3-in-1 thing but this was pretty good set. Lots of functions and an interesting modular concept meant that the winch and crane could fit at the front or back of the car, the trailer and the side of the chopper.
Back in those days Technic cars also used to have a proper turning circle. Never understood why they stopped using those steering parts.

Oh man! When I was buying Legos for my sons back whenever this was new for some reason this set attracted my attention. I picked it up and built it with my sons. It was my first Technic set, my first Lego set of any appreciable size. Great fun to build and play with. It still has an honored spot on my Lego shelves and is responsible for the dozens and dozens of sets (mostly large Technic) I've gone to build. Great memories.

By in Germany,

Not that many technic functions. This is more of a "play" set.
The body of the car is fairly massive and build with normal and sloped bricks, and plates.
