By in United States,

Guess since Someone made a Clikits model, Huwbot is being nice and not doing any for the time being.

Though Hopefully we have a Construction theme for 2020.....

By in United States,

Why is the set in the image rendered in that particular manner?

By in Venezuela,

Exotic manual cover time!

^^ I believe (might be wrong) that it is a scan of the instructions as one of the box may not have been readily available.

Well balanced play set. Nice one Lego.

@Isabella and Lego Liker: I'd expect the next construction subtheme to be in 2021.

By in United States,

This was year one for the City theme, and it had more misses than hits. I recall the excitement for the smaller Firetruck 7239, the Street Sweeper 7242, and the XXL Crane 7249, but the rest like this featured Huwbot selection just languished as examples of apparently rushed models. Granted Lego had just emerged from near financial ruin, the great color palette debacle of grey and brown being changed, and World City had only just whimpered to a halt in 2004, so Lego was trying something new. To their credit, Lego learned quickly and things improved remarkably every consecutive year after 2005, but few people were happy with this design and I suspect that's why it has low collection numbers.

What?! No Clikits after the contest?

By in United States,

I loved this set... it has basically the same functionality as 4204 The Mine, with the added fun of grinding up the gravel. It was almost more of a quarry than a construction site. The crane and dump truck also evoked the earlier bridge construction set that I loved as a kid, and that - whatever you may think of Town Junior - has never really been rivaled, although the later City Heavy Loader truck made a (perhaps the only) similar attempt.

By in Latvia,

This is something we NEED for 2020!

By in Germany,

You get quite a lot here for less than 300 pieces. I guess there's quite a few large parts in there. Looks like fun play, but I suspect less fun build

By in Australia,

Always wanted this set. Ive never understood why Lego did a construction them in 2005, 2008/9 and then NEVER again. I think mining and demolition are great ideas for a 'construction line however we do still need a regular construction theme as well, after all actually building things (especially with all these new modular systems) and construction machinery has always been popular amongst the City target audience, I would think.

By in Norway,

We really need a new high-tower crane!

By in United States,

Construction site--looks more like the equipment used in a quarry, with a dockside crane.

Honestly, it's not that bad of a set.

@Your future president

Hmm... Still seems odd, though, as instructions from this era are usually identical to the display box art. Thanks for the input!

By in Spain,

I love this set!! I bought it when I went out of my dark ages and I was starting to work in the construction!! I love the dumper truck, so similar to the ones I had to manage!! I have it exposed in the country house!!!

More of this subtheme...in 2021.. and if in 2020 better!!
