Oh, I didn't realise this one was actually a little helicopter. I'm sorry, but that's kind of cute!
Wow, what a step down from yesterdays RSOTD...
Okay, now we truly are on a technic kick; four sets within a week. That's got to be a record for a theme, right?
Let it Go, Huwbot, you are getting too (Tech)nical!
@McLegoboy ... yeah, just wait until tomorrow when a Clikits set pops up.
Much better than the weird swamp thing of a few days ago.
Kudos to the designer who put that gear in, makes it alot more neat than it would be without it. I would have used Katanas pieces instead of those tiny axels though.
Obscure Technic is the new Clikits
Not just fourth Technic set, but the second Roboriders set that wasn’t a normal set!
Ooo, a blue Technic bush.
That sure is boxart
Interestingly enough, the last commenter on the RSotD three days ago made a passing reference to this model as the outlier of these RoboRider mini-sets. I guess Huwbot saw that, and interpreted it as a suggestion.
I'm CURIOUS, though. Brickset calls this set Frost Flyer; while, on the art there, it calls itself Ice Explorer. I'm guessing that's one of those 'it was named differently in different parts of the world' things, but at first glance it's a... mildly odd discrepancy xD
@BionicleJedi a quick research (by clicking links here on Brickset :) just revealed that there is a 'same as set 8005" note attached to this set here. And 8005 is indeed (*drum roll*) called 'ice explorer'
@kfr: Which now leaves us with the question why this is called Frost Flyer on Brickset when it clearly says "Ice Explorer" with number 1292...
Huwbot really seems to like Technic this week. Also, this is much better than the swamp vehicle (at least because we can tell what it is), but the overall shape is not that accurate for a helicopter, and I know LEGO made more accurate ones, including one that looked quite like a Russian 'Hind' (wink wink Huwbot)
What’s so technichal about two gears?
@william60004rox
It's got 33 pieces, William. What were you expecting?
