Does it work the same way as the Slap Chop?

It's Huwbot's alter ego! There's a reason he rarely shows us him...

By in Australia,

That face is kind of terrifying, though.

By in United Kingdom,

this is the third of these little hockey goblins we've had now, isn't it? given there's only four of them (I think) thats a fairly high percentage

By in Greece,

This is one of this set that makes me happy I was in the dark ages playing basketball back then :P

Bizarre - looks like a robo-Stormtrooper.

Not something I'll be adding to my 'Wanted' list.

By in Italy,

Can we remove this theme from the Huwbot selection pool? Pretty please?

Looks like those statues from Easter Island

By in Sweden,

@DrDaveWatford exactly! On casual browsing the webpage I thought this was some bizarre stormtrooper figure

When the inevitable day comes that Huwbot has featured all the sets from this wave I'll have no choice but to really grab them for myself. I was looking at my old catalog the other day and remembered that there was even a complete playset with two of these guys AND a pair of goalposts that I particularly wanted. Clearly, having the minifig-based soccer match 3409 and basketball match 3432 wasn't enough for me...

Oh no, no no no no! I just watched some more Baby Yoda show and then this shows up!

Oh hey, this was one of the ones I actually *had*.

I only got two of these, and both of those because I found them second-hand and couldn't resist cheap Lego, no matter how unfortunate-looking xD Plus, those orange Nuva shoulder pieces...

@Teriyaqi - These 'faces' here were meant to represent hockey masks; beneath them, each had a Bionicle Matoran face. This also allowed the masks to be easily interchangeable; if I remember rightly, each set came with three alternate masks to choose from.

@Brickalili - There were four individually packaged ones like this, yeah; although there were also a handful more sets which had them in too; a 'game set' consisting of two of them, a puck feeder set, and one with a sticker sheet so it could be customised to any NHL team of the time. Still, you're right; we've had almost half of them, now, in the space of two months, which is pretty unusual... I think Huwbot's taken a liking to them xD

By in Romania,

Those guys came with a lot of very useful new parts and recolors. And the canisters they came in could also be used as a water bottle, which is genius in my opinion. I will get a few of them for sure eventually.
Those are easily some of the most underrated sets ever!

Given how Playmobil's NHL line has sold, I think LEGO could do another NHL theme line, but these sets are just a little too weird.
