Random set of the day: Holiday Jet (Austrian Air Version)
Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random set is 4032 Holiday Jet (Austrian Air Version), released in 2003. It's one of 28 World City sets produced that year. It contains 151 pieces and 3 minifigs.
It's owned by 15 Brickset members. If you want to add it to your collection you might find it for sale at BrickLink or eBay.

Doctor: Come back here Timmy, you’re not supposed to have a nose!!
Long time no see, Mr. Plane. (8/5/19 was the last time Huwbot had this as a RSOTD)
And first since the Clikits invasion was defeated.
Random Set of the Day: 4032 Holiday Jet
Everyone Else: Ah $@!, here we go again...
Something tells me this has a good chance of being reported. My fellow meme lovers, I bid you adieu. *salute*
I just caught up on the advent calendars. Pity about the Clikits...
Looking at the bright side, I'm happy about Huwbot's seemingly rising interest in the Legend of the BIONICLE. If he wishes to actually get into it, I highly advise playing MNOG and seeing where it takes him.
Regarding this set, Timmy is still a novelty. Maybe being able to compare the stickers more easily would elicit some more discussion...
@Your_Future_President
That comment killed me! Lol.
I feel like 4-wide planes were killed by "click hinges" replacing "finger hinges." The finger hinges left almost no gaps and kept the plane's roof looking elegant, but when the replacement 4-wide plane roof was introduced not only did the delicate little planes need to be manhandled to open the roof, but there are lots of hideous holes on the starboard side of planes (also I just realized it was sort of a tradition for these plane roofs to open on the port side from hinges on the starboard.) Hence Lego photographed this set from the camera-friendly side. Actually finger hinges snuck back one final time in the 2004 City rerelease of Century Skyway, after this set(s?).
how many versions of this holiday jet have we had now?
This might be one of the rarest sets, judging by number owned by Brickset members. Then again, some other versions of this plane will certainly be even rarer.
Well well well, look who’s back...
The Austrian Air version has not been RSOTD before: Huwbot can't choose one that he has chosen before.
I'm not sure if that's a safe place for little Timmy to be walking.
@Huw True, but there are 12 or 13 or so versions of this plane, and they essentially all look the same. I think that's what people refer to. Of course it's perfectly fine for the algorithm to pick them all eventually, even one after the other over the next two weeks. Now, that would be random! :)
The kid’s face is horrifying.... aaaarrgghh
Wonder if Timmy even could fit inside the plane, since these short legs doesn't allow him to sit.
If we include the "Airline Promotional Set", Huwbot has made it up to 7 of 14:
