Oh boy it’s the king himself. Many a meme has been made about him. Lots of people have asked to have him canonized, to no avail.

Wow, this feels like a taunt to everyone speculating on the new Bionicle trend.

By in New Zealand,

Was there a Good Girl counterpart too?

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

It's like it's built from surplus parts they weren't planning to use in real sets, but had overproduced for past sets.

In-universe, it’s horrifying that his torso is arms.

Is it just me or does this guy seem like he would lean more towards the dark side? I mean think about it.

“I am a good guy. Hold still while I impale you”

Our lord and savior, the king of Bonk memes, the one ousted by canon, the goodest of bois. PRAISE BE!

My headcanon for all the weird Good Guy/Bad Guy promotional sets was that (most of them) were Nynrah Ghosts and/or the OG inhabitants of Nynrah who worked beside them. The Nynrah made all sorts of specialized weapons and gear, so the fact they would mod their bodies into odd shapes that were easy to attach weapons too made sense, at least to me. They already look a bit like the mutated Matoran Karzahni made so if they are the ACTUAL Ghosts it's not that big of stretch, and the OG inhabitants we have no information on. All in all, Matoran need masks, and the Ghosts were Matoran, so I'm leaning more toward the OG.

Of course, only one of the lot is canon. Gold Good Guy, who is actually Turaga Lihkan (sans one of his hands.) But we can all dream that the original here will be given his time in the spotlight. PRAISE BE!

I never got Good Guy, but Bionicle fans will never let you forget this guy exists due to his meme status.

For example, seeing the recent interest in Halo Reach due to its PC release... this painting seems like a good example of Good Guy and his magic cross over powers: https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/001/167/145/1d0.png

Or how about this? https://i.pinimg.com/474x/6c/61/93/6c61936634de603b988bd98f5ab709aa.jpg

Or take this: https://www.memesmonkey.com/images/memesmonkey/f5/f54b1cfca1313ac3e93cc9a42cc1206b.jpeg

Even has the Spaghetti Western treatment: https://pics.me.me/the-and-the-the-good-bad-ugly-the-good-the-49472678.png

Or how about two Good Guy sets blinging in some Platinum and Gold Bionicle masks? (the Platinum mask being the most expensive Lego piece ever made...) https://www.facebook.com/BionicleArchives/photos/pcb.2546672672093184/2546672188759899/?type=3&theater

Iconic

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Wasn't this guy put into canon as an in-universe toy? Like, this was a model of a puppet that the Matoran used to tell their many stories and legends

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Titan Mata Nui ain’t got nothing on this absolute unit

"Everyone loves you... but nobody loves me."
"Guys! Over here! I found a banana!"
"Hello and welcome to the Good Guy Show!"

By in United Kingdom,

OH MY GOODNESS, YOU'RE NOT SERIOUS xDDD

For a pile of leftover parts with no canon name, appearance, or role, this guy's sure become more widely known than... possibly *anything* else in Bionicle due to his meme status. I know it's the trend online, these days, that a fandom is known by its memes, but... this is rather an extreme example xD

@namekuji - Unfortunately, there wasn't. Would have been cool if there was, though.

Behold, the epitome of Bionicle. Nothing could hold a candle to Good Guy.

Have no interest in this guy, but the 2008 Good Guy always did catch my fancy. Just felt like a more cohesive build than any other of these other promo sets.

By in Venezuela,

Just shared this to BIONICLE Maskposting on Facebook y'all. If Huwbot starts overheating it's probably my fault.
Cute little set BTW, could get it someday...

By in United States,

The fact that this lame excuse for a "set" is such a popular meme shows you how horribly affected the die-hard fans were by the ending of BIONICLE. When eventually there was no story left to develop, and the franchise was truly left high and dry, the poor people couldn't handle it, and the outbursts that followed took many forms, not all negative. This meme is one of the lesser expressions, a cry for meaning within a truly meaningless amalgamation of BIONICLE parts.
