And so the Bionicle/Star Wars streak ends... It was a good 5 days.

On an unrelated note, why are 4421 and 4423 the same price when there's a 200 piece difference?

Those are some funny-looking Bionicle pieces

Wait, LEGOideas.com? It seems to have been a precursor to Lego Factory, based on the mention of a gallery, virtual brick building and instruction generation. I think it might have been an early version of LDD.

Bricks are necessary, but slopes and tiles make everything look good.

Looking at the price, did the US get this or was this overseas only? Looks like we recieved the 4423 as there is a price with that one.

Maybe this was a special buy with 200 more parts?

I wonder if basic bricks would make nice Christmas tree ornaments...

Those are Clikits, young padawan.

Iw would be funny, if the set contained 999 pieces.

Sounds like a sci-fi B movie.

Wow that's a big box of lego. I wonder how they came up with the title?

I wish they still produced brick-centric sets like this. My oldest son got 10704 for xmas last year, and it had 56 2x4 pieces in 13 colors. This one has 132 2x4s in only nine colors. Not only more bricks to build bigger buildings, but more of each color for more consistency.

I like the older brick boxes. Mostly primary colors that get a lot of use. Today's all kinds of Friends and other pastel type colors that are of limited use (i.e. teal, pink).

And 13 quid!! The PPP is insane--in a good way!

Yeah, the old brick boxes appear to have been better than what we have now. Why is it so difficult to just sell enough standard bricks in a single set to actually build something with. If I want to build a house and don't like what's on offer in city and creator at the moment, I should be able to just get the parts in an easy, convenient way at a reasonable price, so I can make my own. Isn't that kind of the point of Lego?
