Do you know what it takes to be a hero?

Someone needs to redesign Huwbot (the one from the contest) to have more Bionicle parts.

Guess now that it's after Christmas, Lord Huwbot gives us out TENTH! set from this theme this month!

Is 12 asking too much at this rate?

The Hordika.
Mutated by Visorak venom, the 2004 Toa Metru were turned into the Toa Hordika, becoming weaker sets in the process. Not the most-beloved Toa line, but it had some good points. I had Vakama as a kid, though.

By in United States,

Probably my least favorite of the original Toa. Wonky proportions all built around the spinner gimmick. Gear function here was a waste of space, not really doing much. Of course I got several of them, Vakama, Matau and Nuju that year.

"Best Hordika"

Personally I think Whenua was the best Hordika because his jackhammer weapons could actually jackhammer

So odd to see so much Bionicle, and a complete lack of Clickits.

^Huwbot has more or less stopped having that as their theme of choice.

I know people give the Stars of 2010 a lot of flack, but 2005 is actually my least favorite year for BIONICLE. All the standard sets were so gappy and skeletal and most of the Titans lacked any proper hands. Aesthetically it's quite pleasing with the post apocalyptic city covered in giant cobwebs but the sets don't hold a candle to what came before or after.

Of the Toa Metru, Onewa was the jerk of the team. He was never really into the idea of becoming a Toa and saw Vakama's visions of the future as nothing but delusions of grandeur and exaggerated nightmares. He was loud mouthed and dismissive of anyone else's ideas and preferred to work on his own.
While on a mission to recover the Matoran of Metru Nui after the Great Cataclysm the Toa Metru were captured by a swarm of giant spiders, the Visorak, who used their venom to mutate the heroes into strange beasts known as Hordika. Matau and Onewa blamed Vakama for leading them into a trap, and eventually Vakama's newfound animistic rage caused him to leave the team and join the Visorak as a commander. The Toa Hordika had to go on a quest to find the legendary Keetongu who could cure them before they turned into full fledged beasts while also trying to apologize to Vakama and bring him back to the side of good.
Onewa would eventually settle down as Turaga of Po-Koro. His town served as a sports and trading center, revered for it's excellent statues and craftsmanship. His time as a Hordika greatly humbled him, and he was much less involved or prominent as the other five Turaga.

He couldn't use it while a Hordika, but he wore the mask of Mind Control. It could allow him to force others to do his bidding, though it was only really effective on animals and the weak minded.

[ for the confused, we're quoting "Hero" by AIK, a promotional song made just for this line: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxYeW8lYUBM ]

By in Germany,

While I did enjoy the Clikits running gag while it lasted I am getting really tired quickly of seeing Bionicle as RSOTD. To me Bionicle isn't even proper LEGO but some useless assortment of pieces that are hardly any good for anything else. Even Clikits pieces offer better reusability. Someone please repair Huwbot!
