Ninja was amazing as a theme. This set is...not.
Wow, Flame the Fire Dragon is lookin' a little worse for wear.
Wow, I just looked at this whole theme; What a disaster! The only thing good about this set and these sets in particular is the fact that they seem to be a precursor to Ninjago, intentional or not.
I often go flying on my shed door too.
Saw the title and thought it was a Ninjago set at first, and then I saw the image. Ninjago's not good Random Set of the Day for another year, right? Where does the time go?
What an eyesore! This is just a random assemblage of parts.
^^Yes, not until 2021. other themes possible when 2021 hits is POTC, the last Harry Potter theme before it went away until 2018, the Cars sets, Alien Conquest, Pharaoh's Quest, and the last of the Tiny Turbos.
This wave of ninjago looks weird.
Look out. A flying drawer!
Thats not a very dragony dragon glider, is it?
This series was awesome when I was a kid. Was the first time for me too where I had to collect all the colors. The green ninjas only came in the 3 people pack. So I had to have that.
Looking at the set, I had a hunch and yea, this was a free give away. I will put money down that everyone who ragged on it would of gladly accepted it for free back then, no questions. ;)
If you squint, it looks just like Firstbourne!
Say what you want, but I love that flag.
I get this was a free set, but why does it not look like a glider in any way? It would have both been a cheaper giveaway and looked better if there were fewer parts to it
The best thing about this set is the minifigure.
Not Kai flying around inconspicuously
The box dragon!
I dunno, I love the quirky charm of these old polybag sets; they were so clearly made of just whatever parts were left over, their use in any story context was very much DEBATABLE, but... they could also kinda *just be anything*. They kind of added flavour to the theme's world.
(Besides, in one comic strip in the UK Lego Adventures Magazine, the Shogun had a magic sword; so it's not inconceivable that the same magic is what allows this thing to fly xD)
Plus, it's from Ninja! I would honestly accept anything from that theme, no matter how dumb in concept; it was one of my favourites as a child, and quite honestly still is.
Ninja theme had a lot of imagination with their "flyers".
It might not be realistic but it's a fun little set.
