I love the simplicity and effectiveness of the jack.

What a little beauty. So simple and effective. Everything you need for a little garage.

By in New Zealand,

A perfect Set. I still have mine built. The car design is a brilliant template too.

Never realised those garage door pieces were that old, pretty cool.

By in Australia,

I had this, when I was a kid (still have the garage door), but I lost the baseplate, somewhere. I'm so disappointed in myself.

We got all your golf cart repair needs right here!

By in Turkey,

No word comes to my mind other than perfect! Look at those colors, so fresh...

By in Singapore,

Now that’s a real beaut! Puts shame on the 2020 garage...

By in Netherlands,

All your repairs done with a spanner and a... hammer.

Makes sense when the other tools available were a shovel, broom and axe.

By in Czechia,

Lovely set but the car without front lights was kinda strange.

By in United Kingdom,

So happy that I have this - simple but a lot of play value.
And those lovely doors, no one cared that the rest of it was pretty open!

By in France,

Good old garage. Simple, classic, efficient. No many features or details, but all that is required to have a good play time. A good complement to any child city layout.

Omg, omg! This! is one of my absolute childhood gems!! Still have it, seems like I have to rebuild it this weekend <3 Thank you Huwbot!

By in Germany,

I had this as a kid and still have it. Also had and have the older blue one (6363, which I liked even better tbh).

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

Looking at this I feel like the prior blue garage was better. I can't find the number now. :(
There was a fun build with a chair in there to lift the car up and the office part was clearly separate unlike this one which appears to be completely open between the 2 buildings.

It's still a fun little set though.

By in Spain,

When I see these kind of sets I'm still amazed about how cool buildings LEGO did with one hundred parts. Right now they use the same amount of parts for a single car and couple of small complements...

^^^A comment so nice he had to say it thrice (plus 1)

@Harmonious_Building :
Those door pieces go back to 1981's Public works Center!

Issues with the website (or browser...) I deleted the duplicated ones :)

There’s nothing like this era of classic town.
A great set.

By in Germany,

Oh, one of my childhood favorites! Having wheels you could change (without breaking anything) was such a cool new feature back then :)

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

A hammer and a wrench are all you need

Like I said in my comment above yours, it is 6363.
:-)

Amazing set, wish City/Creator had more of such small buildings these days.

I actually liked the era of small 4-wide cars even while polybags/magazine technically still make some.

As for the Hammer/Wrench, those are the tools still included in the 2020 Tuning Workshop, instead of using those smaller tools.

You posted while I was typing, so I missed it. Happy to see I wasn't the only one with those thoughts. :D

As Dave pulled the garage door to shelter from the chill winter winds, “Crikey” he thought, “It’s still a bit draughty!”

By in United States,

This was during my prime of Legos as a child. I didn't have this specific set but still have many from this era. So many hours spent playing with that jack and similar garage doors.

So simple yet so fun.

6369 is clearly Classic Town, but yet I find the styling to be a bit inferior to other Classic Town sets like 6393 and 6378, both of which are similar concepts. It needs some bushes or flags or tools strewn about, perhaps.

This is 60258 (Tuning Workshop)'s older brother. I wish they still made the jack. I still have a few of them from my childhood.

Keep It Simple, Stupid. This garage is just plain perfect, with few specialized parts, and not a whole lot of unimportant sidebuilds. "

I'm considering getting this set used now. Only thing the guy needs is the older tool sprue, the newer bag of tools (namely because a Crescent Wrench, ratchet, and cordless drill are included) and build him one heck of a tool bench and a rolling toolbox to store it.
