By in United States,

That's nice and all, but are they actually made from trees and flowers?

An unexpected but surprisingly pleasant gift from my grandmother, and I didn't know how much attention she had paid to my Legoland Town layout. It really made a difference improving 6390 to have this little garden.

By in Portugal,

Thank God Lego released the xtra theme, otherwise sets like these would be seen as a piece of history.

Would it be that difficult to release sets like this again on a regular basis? Such as lego baseplates?

Oh wait, it's not Marvel or DC, sorry... Ahahahah

By in New Zealand,

For the longest time ever, I put the flower element on upside down such that the top had a flat surface. It just seemed that that was the way.

^No, but Huwbot is suddenly making this the next Bionicle/Clikits.

9 of the last 12 days!

Wonderful classic town accessories set! It seemed so hard as a kid to get more than a couple trees to add to Main Street. No Bricklink, no eBay...hell basic plant parts were tough to get.

Those round trees...gone but not forgotten.

I had this set and used it to give the Forestmen in my castle layout an actual forest.

By in Australia,

I don't think I ever bought this one (I wasn't born until a few years after it was made), but I definitely loved these packs as I grew up. Come back when the flowers started blooming in *blue*, man.

Plants from plants not from plants! :)

By in Turkey,

Such an essential set for people who loves laying out their town from time to time. Today it's all about action and cops and robbers and ninjas, or x-large modulars. Whatever happened to town houses, nice little family caravans? City life is crazy!

The Lego tree is a design classic. Simple, effective and beautiful.

By in Finland,

TBH, I like this much more than the Xtra sets. The new flowers look quite ugly.

I loved getting this set as a kid for a Christmas present, as flowers and trees were in low supply in the sets I had.
I agree with others above, more trees and flowers in ‘extras’ sets!

By in Germany,

I miss those round trees, I managed to get one of them from one of my friends back in middle school which was from an old set belonging to his brother, the cypress trees were nice too though I missed out on those.
I'm glad they still make the pine trees at least.

I did the same. Still do actually! Hahaha!

Some of the pine trees I still have are hard and always have been. Probably an older generation.

By in France,

Pine trees are extinguishing, the big model haven't been in a new set since 2018, so it will end-up like the good old round tree...
The small pine is still actively alive, but none of the original 70's trees will stay in production, the pig pine was the first born in 1973.
And no brick-built trees pack nowadays, it will become hard to easily have some greenery in our town.

A nice pack.

I always liked those Trees and Flowers packs, though I don't think my family got this one. I only have one round tree :(

I love those round trees! I believe in all my vast collection of LEGO I've only got two of them, w/one chewed in half at the trunk : ( I was gutted when our dog did that... little mutt is darn lucky he's so cute.

Trees AND flowers!? What a steal!

By in Netherlands,

Hope those round trees come to Xtra one day.

By in Norway,

I must say I've never been a big fan of these trees, the soft plastic doesn't feel like lego at all and the shape is too abstract, like something from an architect drawing. The early 70s granulated trees (like in set 990) looked much nicer but they were only made for a short period - AFAIK kids tended to chew off the granules so they were deemed unsafe.

As said earlier I think Lego should make a Creator 3-in-1 brick-built tree set, so you could either build one huge, detailed tree or several smaller ones in various styles.

And yes, I also placed the flowers with the flat side up, it just seemed to reflect the shape of real flowers better.

So do I. My flowers are SNOT. Think they look better that way.

I’m not sure, but I remember seeing it done both ways in different sets, particularly City.

By in United States,

I recall ordering this direct from LEGO for about $3

By in United Kingdom,

I have these still. I got two sets and some road base plates and probably the fire station or something for my birthday. Definitely wasn’t Xmas cos I was deep into Star Wars collecting by then and though I still played with my LEGO for years it was all SW figures and computer games from there until 1999...
