By in Australia,

I guess this was one of those Japanese Kabaya sets that were all so cute but were never available anywhere else. It's kind of a weird design, but Lego-fan me from that point in time would've enjoyed it.

Best life jacket design ever. There really was no reason to retire it.

I love early 2000s heads. However, this can’t even begin to compare to the majesty of Alpha Team.

At least this set, unlike some other "Extreme Team" polybags, has an actual Extreme Team minifigure (though lacking helmet printing).

It's not a build-and-keep set for me. It has some nice parts. I would use them in various MOCS if I had this set.

After looking at this set a little closer I realized it's part of the in-between period of sets. In this case it doesn't include any overly juniorized elements, but still has some rough corners and not a very pleasing overall look.

I believe the only comment I could possibly make is to quote one of the great philosophers of our time:

It's plain to see how this evolved into 70611 Water Strider.

It's from the worst time of lego creativity, but it looks super cool to me. I would buy it today.
