Hmm... I don't know. Could have used more space wings.

Those special A frame wing pieces returned in that Paris gift thing and another set I forget that them. When did these old pieces first return?

Runs of them in the new Light Bluish Grey were done in 2011, 2015/6, and now 2020.

Guess the factory had a surplus of those grey A-frame wings in the 80s, and Lego was like, "What do we do with them all?"

This set was given to me. complete in box, in the 2019 Brickset Secret Santa over on the forums. I haven't been that excited to receive LEGO since I came out of my dark ages when I found the Ideas Exo Suit. It's still set up on my coffee table and makes me smile when I see it. Huge thanks to whichever kind member sent that to me.

You cannot go wrong with a classic space set!

By in Finland,

When I browsed Brickset as a kid, it was sets like this that gave most of Classic Space (except the 1978-1980 kits) a bad name, for me. Just a hodgepodge of random parts with no sense of cohesion or shape. Now I see the charm. But still. All those A frames going every which way. I can only excuse them if I think of this set as just a cheap way to get a CS minifigure, not as a spaceship in its own right.

By in New Zealand,

Very nice part usage on the front. Not often you see a brick built sight.

By in Australia,

This was my first space set and it was fantastic! Every piece in this set cries “spaceship” and to 4 year old me that was a whole new world.

I’ve been waiting from the start to see this set pop up.

Not the best small space ship with a blue spaceman (that would be Space Dart I), but it's got a blue spaceman, so you got my attention

By in Turkey,

Yes, yes, yes! I got this. And just for a specific reason, the hook piece in the front. Back in the day I was obsessed with getting at least one of each part. In '85 only two sets had that part: 6825 and this set. My cousin had the 6825. So I got this one.

I must admit, it didn't get the love it deserved at first but now I love the unique design of the wings and the gun in front.

By in Poland,

I guess it's time to build Astro Dancer, Astro Prancer, Astro Vixen, Astro Comet, Astro Cupid, Astro Donder and od course Astro Blitzen!

By in Netherlands,

And one of the few times they made use of the holes underneath the spacegun/camera. Still own this lil fella.

I bought this one with my own pocket money. No need waiting for Birthday or Christmas. Treasured set from my youth.

This was an excellent set! Oh man how those pieces became staples in my play as a kid. I only had one of these sets, but I could have used so many more.

Yes I remember it well, odd but fun. And has been said a Blue spaceman. The cheapest set I assume to have one. Just think of it as the kind of spaceship Benny's Grandad would fly. Just out of interest did anyone else have a rank for spacemen, Red, White, Yellow, Blue then Black.... Black being strongest, most important etc..... there was some logic in it in terms of rareness when I was about 10.

Absolutely loved this set as a kid growing up in the 80s! I went through my bin of old light gray and built myself a fleet (OK, 3 or 4 so a very small fleet) of these last year for a moonbase build in Classic Space colors.
Thanks for the nostalgic blast through space @Huwbot!

Black: Command
Blue: Science
Yellow: Generalist
White: Tech Specialist
Red: Pilots/Drivers

Of course, the official LEGO sets didn't always agree with my classifications...

By in Netherlands,

They shouldn't have done those a frame thingies at the back of the seat. It ruins the aerodynamics....IN SPACE

I always love when a set uses the same part in a ton of different ways.

Ah, an original Benny in a proper Benny spaceship. Grey. White would also be acceptable. But not blue with trans-yellow.

I don't remember when I got this one, but it's my favorite of the little vehicles. I have one built in classic space colors, plus one for SP I and one for MTron. Maybe it's time to pick up some of the wing pieces in light blue-grey and put a few more of these together.

Love the uniqueness of the classic space ships. Almost minimalist in some, but all were really neat designs. I just think that if LEGO had the part selection that they do now, we could not have had many of the classic designs that made classic space so awesome.
