Look out world, Hero Factory has finally arrived!

This is one of the few wave one HF villains I didn't get. The one I regret missing out on the most is without a doubt Rotor.

My first Hero Factory Villain. I thought these characters were the best back when they originally released. Not only were the figures pretty cool; I especially liked the online materials for the theme such as the radio show "Hero Factory FM". That podcast was hilarious!

Bionicle’s slightly inferior younger brother.

Huw I might be dumb for wondering but what happened to CaptainRex?

Limey! Thats an ugly dude. I tried to watch the cartoon once. Tried is the key word.

I didn't get this guy, but I bought Meltdown (just to give them a try), purely for the novelty, but he made a good giant villain for my Lego heroes to fight.

Bionicle: Ah, a new rival. Are you up for the repeated RSOTDs from Huwbot?

I was torn between buying Corroder and Xplode to give Hero Factory the proverbial "college try" back in the summer of 2010. I went with Xplode because I noticed in a review of Corroder that the little details on his shields in the front were actually stickers. Stickers in a BIONICLE-type set?* No way! Xplode looked a little more "conventional" as a BIONICLE fire villain, so I think I made the right choice.

*At the time, I was unaware that Tuma, released in 2009, had stickers to decorate his helmet.

By in Netherlands,

I have pieces of him in the lego bin. Never knew what to do with them. I wanted to throw them away a few times, but somehow the green pieces remind me of lizzard fingers and that idea is cool enough to keep them in my bin.

He's been unwell and is still getting back up to strength.

By in Croatia,

I have this set, and it's great. It's got a really cool mask, and those awesome line green blade pieces which are great for MOCing. The Hero Factory villains of the first wave were truly great, and Corroder is no exception.

Are those shields or are those pincers he’s got for hands?

In the show and comics he goes on all fours and the tips of the green claws shoot acid.

I had a chance to have this set, a couple years back; our neighbours gave us a bunch of old toys that their kids had never opened, because they figured my parents would be better able to find people to give them to who'd actually enjoy them. Amongst that lot were several unopened Lego sets, one of which was this guy.

With permission, I did keep a couple of the sets back for myself - Bionicle's Mata Nui and Exo-Force's Blade Titan - and toyed with the idea of this guy being one of them as well, but decided not in the end. Hero Factory had come along as I was pretty much entering my own kinda "dark age", so it didn't mean much to me; and the review of him that I looked at wasn't exactly glowing with praise either. So I figured some child would enjoy him more than I ever would, and he ended up going with the rest of the toys when we gave them to a local charity instead ^^

Man, Hero Factory was great. After 10 years of Bionicle, I remember how new and fresh it felt when it first came out. Loved every moment, and had a lot of fun with it. I miss those days...
