That is most certainly not a walker

Exactly what I was thinking, that's a Moon River if anything.

It might even be a Rover.

I loved this line of Spaceport (but '95 is like, my sweet year, in terms of Lego Town), and I bought this guy purely for the little astronaut figure, I thought he was cool.

A moon walker with white gloves. Gotta love that.

Shiny! Loved those chrome visors.

Wonderful walking mechanism, LEGO really outdid themselves with this walker

Moon Walker, Moon River, Moon Rover.... Moonraker???

With a facial design so simple, why couldn't it be James Bond?

By in Turkey,

t's not iconic, but a nice little design with useful parts.

By in Croatia,

The chrome gold visor looks beautiful... I really wish LEGO still produced chromed parts.

Those so called impulse set were the reason because many of us got into LEGO. I know that there are polybags but they are not widely available. I miss those kind of sets in my country.

By in Belgium,

I found this one in a bulk lot once, not bad but it really needs some of those balloon tyres ;). That scanner is definitely one of the weirder contraptions though, wouldn't look out of place in Ghostbusters...

Used to have this one, wish I knew what had happened to it. It was only small, but fun, and I loved the chrome visor.

I think maybe the minifig is the walker and the vehicle is for getting to the place on the moon to go walking. Although can you really walk on the moon. Don't you just bob along in a bouncy way?

I had the 1999 equivalent of this, 6463 Lunar Rover. I feel like its design was a little more simplified than this - though I guess not by much, since these small-box sets by definition can only have so much complexity to them - but had extra chrome-gold in the form of that big dome on the back, which was super-neat ^^

I didn't even know honestly, when I was young, that there had been an earlier spaceport theme; I thought the 1999 one was Lego's first take on the concept. This range, then, was surprising to find out about several years later xD

Ooh, those big shiny visors. This the first time they started appearing?

They indeed appeared first in the Launch Command subtheme, starting in 1995.

By in Russian Federation,

Yes, this is a second RSOTD which I has a long time ago!
Simple spacey vehicle, not so different from Classic Space themes.

I think this was my first set back then, I still have a few pieces of it somewhere!
Minifigure has, like, torso with one hand and a head, thats it :)

One of my distant aunts from the UK got this for me as a gift way back when I was only 6. She sadly passed away last week which brough back memories of the time my family visited her in the UK back in 1995 and of this set. My thoughts are with everyone stuck at home during this difficult time. Stay at home and share the joy of Lego with your loved ones.

For a small set, this is a pretty good representation of a moon buggy!
