By in United States,

It’s weird how all of these smaller dinosaurs have no necks so they’re permanently looking down.

By in Australia,

I just find this one weird because he looks like a baby Spinosaurus with a growth impediment. A Dimetrodon was a four-legged animal, it didn't have the forearms that this model seems to imply.

Say what you will, but I loved these Dinosaurs (well, the big ones in canisters anyway).

Wow, dragon arms for front legs...not LEGO's finest hour design-wise...

Looks like something from the Upside Down.

By in Turkey,

There are some sets that I don't regret not having. This is one of them.

A Dinosaur! Wait, is that what it is?

By in United Kingdom,

As much as they just seem to be an excuse to use leftover parts, these baby versions all have a certain quaint charm to them

Dimetrodon wasn't even a dinosaur, it's closer to proto-mammals :o)

Cute little dino hid into the box!

Most important comment here! Love a bit of prehistoric pedantry :)

So, the comments are more forgiving than the last time one of these mini dinos came up as the random set of the day.

This is rough, but imagine if they tried redoing these with the skills and quality present in the creatir animal polybags. Or, up the budget and make them equivalent to the microfighter aninals they've done in the Star Wars line. They're great too, even if more static.

Alas, Lego seems content to just have extremely simple, premoulded dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park line for now, which are even simpler than the big Dino sets from this line. Oh well.

By in Croatia,

The build is kinda lacking, but this set is without a doubt a good parts pack.

Yeah, the discrepancy between the legs always bothered me with this one. I loved the other baby dinosaurs sets as a kid, but this one was always kind of weird because of the front legs being arms.

I remember when people were happy to have dinosaur parts in Lego. These were fun sets to have back in the day. My boys played with them constantly.

I wouldn't mind picking up a few of the baby dino sets someday.

The one I always wanted but no shops had it.

When it comes to animals, particularly ones that are interacting with minifigs, I like premoulded pieces. Ever since the monkeys, parrots and sharks from Pirates (and the original green and black dragons from mid 90s Castle), I've preferred them. Brick build animals -- particularly at that smaller scale -- can be very hit-and-miss. Something as large as, say, one of those Creator dragons, sure, but when you get dogs (and other minifig pets) in those Creator modular buildings (that just look like they were put together with leftover, random bits)? I don't much care for those.
