There's a lot of clamouring for the return of Castle, but we should be careful what we wish for...

exactly what Bronn said would happen!

As for the set.. I'm not a huge fan of a lot of sets in that era, but I kinda like this one. Not $20 retail (at the time) worth of liking it, but still, despite so many large pieces, I like it.

The lack of a protagonist Knight is odd... only villains are included...

Aside from Star Wars and maybe Bionicles, early 2000s were a very dark time for Lego. While not my thing specifically, I would like to see castle and pirates (obviously space as well) make a comeback with the standards of today.

@Mr__Thrawn This set was often sold together with 8801-1 Knights' Attack Barge under the combined name "Attack from the Sea".

This looks like a good set. Yes there are some large pieces, but I liked the overall design, with the balcony and the doors and stuff.

That rock there, at the front of the stairs, looks pretty shifty, though.

Man, what a low point in Castle.. At least until Nexo Knights came out.

Woohoo, this one hit close! KKII is often bashed upon, but the scorpion-themed soldiers and knights are pretty cool actually.

This set is also nice. I managed to get it MISB around 2011, and it kinda started me down the road to Scorpion Kingdom. It's almost a small fortress in itself, just lacking a third side and some more defenders. I duly added both; eventually, I rebuilt the whole thing into a much bigger castle with dozens of defenders.

An owner of this set: yeah the castle is really big
The physically large castle: 142 pieces

KKII was awesome. I didn't even know it was generally disliked.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and guess this is a villians castle....

By in Germany,

I've bought Vladek's Dark Fortress a while ago as a parts pack because it contains several very rare dark red pieces, but other than that it doesn't offer much to write home about.

See those doors? They are beautiful doors.

Always thought a lot of the KKII castles were quite gappy, but this one looks fairly solid and defensible

Looks like a fun little outpost build to me. I think combining it with Vladek's Dark Fortress could look interesting.

Honestly, I never even knew there were minifigure scale sets for knights kingdom II as a kid. The weird figures were clearly the focus...

These were fun sets

I don't know this set, but that black scorpion knight at the front looks sick!

I have fond memories from the KK2 line. I had a good many of them. This was one of them. It went great with Vladek's Dark Fortress, even if there was no proper pin connections or anything. great way to boost the size of the castle. and let's not forget the unique shadow knight, only set to have that guy with the speckled helmet.
