By in Australia,

I always wondered about that. Were the alligators robots, cyborgs, or was the machinery attached to their backs just some kind of mind-control?

I LOVED the Agents theme as a kid - had the first five "missions", but tragically the biggest and best-looking set of them all - the HQ - evaded my little grasp!

Sharks with.. FRIKKIN LASER BEAMS attached to their heads!

Agents was a fantastic theme. This was however probably the worst set of the line. It's only major good point was the gators. It also marked the beginning of those oversized ugly Super Motorcycles that keep showing up in every other super hero set. Bat Bikes. Captain America's Ugly Giant Motorcycle, etc. They all began here.

Agreed, this along with the Batman bike from the Harley Quinn Hammer truck started it all...

I loved Agents. It was kinda nice that the bad guys were all one giant team, where's in Ultra Agents they each kinda went out on their own and only loosely followed orders while with Alpha Team Ogel was really the only named villain.

By in United Kingdom,

Agents was fantastic and miles ahead of Ultra Agents.

Looking back, I don't know why I even asked to get this, the build isn't that great nor are the figs. But it was 2008 so I guess it fits with the style back then?

Agreed. The set itself is very lackluster and there's nothing exclusive. The motorcycle is actually one of the ugliest vehicles from this fantastic theme, which is a shame.

Nothing, however, can top the truck from 8630 when it comes to ugly vehicles.

The barbed wire piece is one of those great pieces that are underused

Oof. I just checked, and the way those wheels are tacked on is embarrassing.

Always loved this theme, but never got any sets. Unfortunately this might be one of the weakest sets mostly because of the bike. The base and gators aren’t too bad though. Not to mention a somewhat low price.

Other than the gators, I can't see a single part that I liked.

Even as one of the weaker Agents sets, I still think 20$ feels like it's quite a good price for it. Especially when you compare it to the 20$ sets we get nowdays.

By in Slovenia,

Probably my favourite theme ever, I remember dressing as Agent Chase for halloween back in 2008, with the agents card (with all 6 stars!) on my chest.

This set probably illustrated to the city council of Lego City the need for Swamp Police, and by 2015 the Swamp was fully incorporated into the Police State.

Well I do see the flaws, this was the biggest Agents set I could get as a kid and it became the basis for a much more elaborate base. The bike took a bit of modding too. Well worth it for the price.

they have some kinda microchips on their foreheads, so likely mindconrolled real ones, with antennas on their back

Seems like a good range of sets with the bad guys all in their hidden places. The volcano base brings up a lot of story ideas ... This one set is maybe one of the weakest indeed.
However, must have been fun back in 2008, 2009. Completely missed out on this theme! Too bad...

I bought the complete range of alien conquest secondhand though! Aliens, ufo's and stuff ... :p

I loved the Agents theme. The only regret I have was that I wish it was more strongly connected to Alpha Team. I really liked those characters and their weird faces, especially Crunch.

I have and love this set. I think it's the best $20 set untrumped in value.

This seems like it inspired set 70802
