One of the best minifigure faces of all time

@LegoRobo:
I'm pretty sure he'll get a crash course relating to the laws of physics...

Exo Force polybag, sweet! So random. With all the crazy expansion of minifig parts, I still dont see hair as great as this.

When the little ExoForce sets released they were just “white good guy,” “red good guy,” and “silver bad guy.” I was good with that.

That's the expression you make when you realise you've put your engine on backwards

Hey at least he’s having a good hair day...

When I worked at a toy store, Exo-Force used to warm the shelves, but I have a feeling if it came out nowadays it would do so much better.

It can fly all right, but does it land properly?

Exo-Force is one of my favorite themes. Even this plane with no apparent controls looks good. I think I have enough pieces to replicate it. And while at it, I'll make sure Hikaru will have his controls.

Since LEGO Mechs seem to be quite popular with kids nowdays, it seems like a good time to bring back Exo-Force (or a theme similar to it).

As funny and ridiculous as this plane is, this set as a whole is great, because it's a cheap way to get an Exo force minifig and the "Jet fighter" provides a lot of playability

A pity they couldn’t have included a somewhat rarer figure-like poor Hitomi, the theme’s single female character who appeared in only one set.

@Brickalili what would be really nice would be if the Exo-Force cast pulled a Clutch Powers and got added to the Ninjago line.

I worked in a toy shop in Tennessee in the USA when these were out and they never stayed in stock. They were very popular.

What I always find weird about the Hikaru minifigure is the orange visor printed on his head; because in the comics, I don't recall him ever wearing a visor like that. At least not for the first year, I kinda fell out of following the story after that, so he may have gained it later on. But it always struck me as strange that it was a feature of the minifigure design, when it wasn't on the human-looking character.

That said, I still really like the Exo-Force minifigure designs. There's just something about them that I find really neat... it's just a shame it took the designers an entire year to remember that girl characters could exist too. Between this, KKII and others, the mid-00s were notoriously bad on that count.

It also took me ages, at the time, to realise that Exo-Force was an in-house theme instead of another license; the images of the characters drawn as humans really confused me xD

This could be basically the first Micro Figther.

Didn’t these have comic books?

@LegoDavid:
They've been doing mecha across many themes. Ninjago is the obvious one, because they've just done so many over the years, but Monkie Kid already has at least two in its debut wave of sets. DC and Marvel have each dabbled in mecha over the years, with Marvel having what appears to be a new line of character-themed mecha.
