Looks more like a golf cart to me.

Uh-oh. Tribuggy's older brother heard our smacktalk yesterday, and apparently didn't think it was funny...

Hmmm... not a TRI-buggy, but I suppose it’ll do.

@Galaxy12_Import :

I never tried it myself, but at least the steering wheel suggests that it could work, though I guess there's not enough room for their legs/feet.

However that set came out 5 years before the first Technic Figure.

Most Technic sets (ca. 90%) from 1986-2001 worked in some way with the Technic figures, be it intentionally or un-intentionally.

That rear suspension makes you want to go up to it and press.

Cool. I used to (and possibly still do in storage) this model when I was much younger. Nice to see a set that I know come up in Random Set of the Day!

Lego: 'We need you to come up with a technic set with no more then 175 pieces.

Designer: "How many weeks or months do I have to design this?"

Lego: "You have 20 minutes"

Designer: "Hold my beer"

Then again, Technic was still in its early days....

By in Turkey,

I love this set. So lucky to have it. It's built and it's beautiful. I don't care what anyone else says...

By in United Kingdom,

I had this set growing up, but seem to have lost it at some point during my dark ages.

I think was about 10 or so when I got it, and remember it as a fun little set, and from a quick look at the instructions on Peeron I think my memories are accurate for once!

A nice looking main model, with instructions for alternate builds, and a guide to motorising it, all for a fairly cheap price - who can complain about that?

I couldn’t agree more...
This was my first ever Technic set, and I loved it so much, my second Technic purchase was

I remember this set as a fantastic dust collector, but like 8860 it was famous for been able to easily change the steering wheel to left hand drive, as well as the right hand drive shown in the instructions. Also with the old $ exchange rate it was only about £12 so a good introduction to Technic as some quite tricky angled beam construction going on underneath, before growing a bit older and attempting the 8860.
