Pleasant dreams...

Silly question, but are the classic flower petals still around or have they been discontinued? Racking my brain here but I can only think of recent sets using those bulky Friends style flower pieces.

Always loved the packaging of Fabuland sets.

Yep! They aren’t too common, but they pop up from time to time. CMF Minifigures such as the bride and hippie come with a set.

I’m trying to decide if her bed looks more like the bottom half of a coffin, or a food trough.

I was thinking the exact same thing! Boy, Fabuland has some... interesting ideas.

Oh I had this set! I loved Fabuland so much as a kid, and I still have everything from back then in a separate box. Some of the printed tiles have found a new home in new builds of mine though. :)

I always find it bizarre, though also somewhat entertaining, how comments on Fabuland sets are almost always either "Oh, Fabuland, how adorable" or "THIS IS THE STUFF OF NIGHTMARES", with not much middle ground.

There are two types of Brickset commenters, I guess... xD

Interesting to see the sticker sheet for the mirror in the box image, considering how old this set is.

On the same note, the figure looking through the box straight into your soul gives me my Dad vibes.
Mybe this was him in a previous life?

Generally the belief for reincarnation is that if you lived a terrible life, you come back as some animal that’s equivalent to your level of offense (e.g. an earthworm). Except for cows. I think that’s a step up from human under Hindu reincarnation (hence why they don’t eat them in India). So, this would more likely be the reincarnated form of My Dad after someone shoved him under a lawnmower and did donuts for half an hour.

This came out before My Dad though. Are you saying Christian is a time traveler? Was his creepy deathly stare his plotting to end his terrifying existence by going back in time to kill his own grandfather? And the plot essentially failed when he was reincarnated as a sheep in Fabuland instead of coming back as something from a more desirable 1985 set, like the driver of the now-insanely-collectable 106 Unicef van?
