Actually, I'm pretty sure the Nuva Shoulder plate only came in silver and maybe bronze during the first few years of BIONICLE. Blue was new to this hockey set!

Of the two Bionicle parts included in this set, the Bohrok tooth originally appeared in Bionicle in white. Later on it appeared in two shades of silver, but only after other themes had used them first. In this case, 3557 and 3558 were the first two sets to use the tooth in Flat Silver.

For the shoulder armor, the colors that were exclusive to Bionicle include the first color (Flat Silver), Dark Red, Dark Blue, Pearl Dark Grey, Pearl Gold, and Flat Dark Gold. It also showed up in White and Pearl Light Grey for the Stars line, but only after it had appeared elsewhere. The other six colors are actually exclusive to the Sports theme, including Blue as used in this set.

I have this set. I love this set. I stand by this set. Simple, fun, and adorable. Hate all you want, but my childhood memories will defend this set like these hockey guys defend their goals (or better, since this goal seems untended... oops).

We can never be grateful enough for all the amazing Bionicle Nuva Shoulder recolors that the Sports line blessed us with...
