Not sure those rotors are going to be too useful in getting this thing off the ground
Quick, someone fire that helicopter for violating the law of gravity!
I loved these little polybags. So cute.
wide boi chopchop
A steering wheel? Was this a set designed on a dare?
“Dare you to design a chopper that looks the part but has no real functionality!”
— Oh ya? It’s on!
Cute though, and still on my want list.

Why should you listen to whatever Gravity says? The laws of gravity can really bring you down... just ask a black hole. I say, be like this set: fight the power of Gravity telling you what you can't do!
(this was 100% a joke, in case anyone missed that)
Is that a floating windscreen?
My first polybag set! I very distinctly remember being puzzled at the sight of that as a kid.
"A plastic bag? How do the bricks not tear through it?"
I mean, was my logic flawed? They're sharp enough to hurt a lot when you step on them barefoot in middle of the night...
Not a bad build for a polybag. It may not be big or effective enough to rescue a man who has fallen in the river in LEGO City, but it has its own use and charm
HEEEEEEY!!!
Not to be confused with the other 11 "Fire Helicopter" sets, including three other polybags -1294, 30566, and 30019. At least it's more unique than the 21 "Police Helicopter" sets, including at least 8 polybags!
Rotors nothing, let's talk about that tail...or lack thereof.:)

The perspective in the image is weird, but it most certainly has a tail. It's made out of a Technic axle sticking out of the body of the vehicle and looks like a sideways television antenna with fan blades taped to the end, but it's definitely there.
What you see is what you get, even if it's just the skeleton.
It looks like one of those kid's rides you get outside shops that just rock back and forth when you put coins in
@Robot99:
Oh, I know there's a Technics axle. But it looks waaaay to thin (and short), and this comes from a guy who still fondly remembers having 645: Police Helicopter and 575: Coast Guard Station (the Canadian Ver. w/a helicopter that looks like a moving violation). Both of those use plates for tails, instead of bricks. But they still looks stronger 'structurally' than this does...
I’ve got two of these!
Imagine all minicopters ever in one picture
Mixed it up with https://brickset.com/sets/30014-1/Police-Helicopter : I wonder why because construction is fully different...

Oh wow, seems those recolored sets aren’t so new after all! I actually have the police variant but didn’t recognise it yet because of the different angle and rotor blades (and because I barely looked at the picture before heading straight to the comments section)
Deja Vu!
I've just been in this place before
(Higher on the street)
And I know it's my time to go
Calling you, and the search is a mystery
(Standing on my feet)
It's so hard when I try to be me, woah
Whooooaaa!!
*eurobeat intensifies as this fire helicopter is chased by 30014 and the others...
@brick_r:
This there is one of them gas station helicopters. By the time you finish putting it together and attempt to fly it, you’re half a state away and unlikely to come back to complain about it crashing.
I always loved the piece used here for the water cannon. Probably half the reason I bought the set. Or maybe I was amused by a helicopter whose roof has to be removed before the pilot can get in or out.

Fire it out of a cannon, maybe?
Seems like a plausible solution to "how does this fly?"
You can build this from spare parts
@Formendacil:
6245 . If you’re gonna do it stupid, might as well go for broke.
What is with Lego and their obsession with small fire and police helicopters?
How exciting. Man we are having a serious Star Wars drought lol

Eminently swooshable at a cheap price point...kids love them! And with a simple color replacement, you can produce a police and fire helicopter with only half of the design effort!
@PurpleDave:
(Best Mr. Haney impression) Well tarnation, you’re right…haven’t seen anything like that since them mountain ‘crooks’ built that little number to break out one of their leaders (60174)…although, that’s not a cannon on that boat. Clearly it’s a new outboard motor… :)
