Looks more like he's the one in need of the emergency evac.

By in United Kingdom,

Such a cool set, and my introduction to that zip wire feature. Res-Q were in a sweet spot where they weren’t juniorised but still retained that mid-late 90s building style.

I bought this set for myself, and the only reason I can think of for why I would have done that is the zip line. I can’t see anything else in this that would have interested me.

One of my favorite sets as a kid; zipline, tools, and the gurney being able to fit in the back of the vehicle (I think you could also have a minifig on the gurney and they'd fit in the vehicle too).

Only ONE flaw: they couldn't fit a steering wheel because it is too high to fit under the canopy.
So it has these stupid joysticks instead. Else it is a superb playset with lots of accessories!

By in Australia,

RES-Q sets were so under-rated. I love this one because you can fit the stretcher in the back of the truck, I just thought that was such a clever design feature. It's probably my least favourite of the line, but only because the other RES-Q sets were all so great!

"Yeah, I gotta use my sunglasses AND helmet for THIS RES-Q mission!"

Delivering emergency electric-vacuums straight to your door!

First set I owned with all of those great minifigure accessories and winch. Such an incredible amount of play value in one little vehicle set for a kid in the 90s.

I feel that’s an unnecessary use of zipline in the box art there XD

By in Jersey,

Got this a couple of years ago, minus the trailer, randomly included within a boxed Technic set I purchased. Seems like a nice little set but strikes me as being the thin end of the wedge in terms of juniorisation, mainly because the chassis is built from a large brick rather than the plates I’d been used to with Town vehicles in the past.

Damn was nice set with a few of the new tools at that time also gave me my first stretcher.
Sadly missed my chance to get the chopper.

By in Netherlands,

I have this one! I remember buying it because I really wanted to have the zip-line thingy. I also loved all the other little tools that came with it. Too bad I never got any other sets from this theme because there were some other interesting ones.

That time when you follow the sat-nav without first properly checking where it's sending you...

By in Germany,

With all the tools and accessories, winch with zipline thingy, AND a stretcher, this is the epitome of the Res-Q theme in a small set.

That kind of build was already in use in the early nineties in many a van build, so it's not exactly juniorization here. I mean... it uses a 2x8 brick! You don't get much further away from juniorization than that!
It's the design of the van that the chassis is that robust.

Bear in mind that by 1998 the Town Juniors theme was already in its 2nd year, so Res-Q was the last non-juniorized town theme, if anything!

Styrofoam mossy rocks not included: get your own ravine.

By in Switzerland,

Where exactly is he ziplining TO in that box art?

By in United States,

I loved the whole Res-Q line but I got this set on vacation which made it extra special to me.

A RSOT I actually had when I was a kid! It's one I remember fondly.

By in United States,

I definitely had this set, but I must have removed the stickers and I lost the wheel hubs. Thank god for Bricklink! The hook and winch were awesome play features at the time, especially with the zip-line minifig tool. I remember using black sewing thread in place of the regular thread it comes with to make it like 3 feet long. Gotta zip-line further!

I loved the Res-Q theme, and this set was my only 'ambulance' until I finally got the 2012 one.
