By in United States,

Anyone know of a place you can watch the old galidor show? As memey as the theme is I think I ought to catch up on it one of these days

Gravatar
By in United States,

Well, thats one of the rarest sets ever! Got one off Ebay oversees this past summer however.

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

One of two extremely rare Galidor figures. He’s currently valued at £147 used.

By in United States,

I'd rather have a lager.

"owned by 36"
36 people who have probably just had one of those mysterious shivers down their spine.

Okay, but can we actually talk about how terrible the design is here?

"Head"? What head? We'll just make a little thing with eyes jutting out of the chest that forces the arms to be super far apart for no reason. While we're at it, we'll make a random unacttractive piece of armor on the abdomen that draws everyone's attention away from the rest of the body, all while blocking the leg articulation.

Isn't that fUn and inTuITivE???1?

Gravatar
By in United States,

...and the wonderful thing about Tagers is...nothing. Absolutely nothing.

By in Chad,

"With my new armour I'm ready for anything! Wait, where'd my horse go?"

Gravatar
By in United States,

Is this the great great grandfather of the new creator tiger?

Gravatar
By in United States,

Why does he have a giant syringe

Tagerface

TBH in the TV show this design looked wonderfully creepy (at least to 12-year-old me). I feel like there's not a lot of appreciation for the costume/character design in the TV series, which looking back was pretty impressive albeit a little bit camp.

@PurpleDave: Well, there is the fact that Lego doesn't make them anymore which I think is fairly wonderful.

Gravatar
By in New Zealand,

That would so hurt.

Gravatar
By in United States,

So have we been through the entire Galidor catalog or what?

Tahger.

I don’t even know what I’m looking at here.
It’s certainly no Nepol and Shimmel, I’ll tell you that.

Some great LEGO sets came out in 2002, twenty years ago this year. We got the first (and only) minifigure-scale Jango Fett Slave I. The UCS Star Destroyer came out that year. BIONICLE had a triumvirate of impressive Technic-based sets (Boxor, Exo-Toa, Cahdok & Gahdok). The Drome Racers brought several fresh, cool designs to race cars across both System and Technic.

So many great sets. And this isn't one of them.

Rising up to the 3040

By in United Kingdom,

Reminds me of the kid from Christmas Story, so bundled up in winter wear he couldn’t move. Can this guy even take a step in that big metal egg he’s wearing? And while I vaguely remember this guy appearing in the show I don’t remember him wearing anything like this

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Wow, the "Year or the..." line has reeeally gone downhill (finger rushes to ear)..what's that...that's not...oh, oh "Tiger"...well that makes more sense...doesn't look like one though...:D

Gravatar
By in Germany,

Don't listen to them! You're beautyful! As beautiful as... aaaAAArgh! AAAAargh! Stopit! AAAaaaaAArgh...!

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

The fact that I didn't know what I was looking at, just seeing the picture, should have been an indication that it's a Galidor set.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The real question is whether this one has a pink 1x1 flower plate on the back too...

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

I have dim memories of an episode where they go back to Earth and this guy follows them, causing havoc in suburban America/Canada and mind controlling a bunch of the neighbours.

That's it, that's my contribution to the lore XD

Gravatar
By in Turkey,

And we wonder about source of some random obscure part used in some wierd moc...

unless there is a picture of the reverse there are only 36 people here who could tell you.

And sealed, it currently goes for a whomping 460$. That's a pretty insane price for something only a very select minority of people would want...

Gravatar
By in United States,

I know a lot of people don't like them, but I always thought the Pretenders were pretty cool. Admittedly the inner robots did not have the best vehicle modes, but I still liked the idea of robots disguised as kaiju and giant people...

"I just want to grill on my Tager"

Gravatar

@xboxtravis7992:
I don’t think this guy would taste good. Or be fit for human consumption. If you’re really planning to go through with this, you might want to borrow Sid’s, since he doesn’t use it for food anyways.

Gravatar
By in Serbia,

the giant syringe has the cure for covid in it

(Its a dumb pun that is based on a pellet smoker brand Traeger having a similar name, so Tager isn't the food; he's the grill!)

Gravatar

Don't Tager me, bro

I found it on YouTube. User baxterLD91 has a playlist of the episodes.

Edit: The user appears to be missing S01E07 of the series, but all other episodes are there.

It's like someone melted together a TV remote from the 60's and a He-Man action figure...

Gravatar
By in United States,

Arise from your graves, Galidor sets! Stalk the modern-era sets and warn them of the Dark Times of the early 2000's, and woe betide anyone who doesn't listen*. Remember the past, for it will save the future of all ABS creation!

*Vydio is one of those who didn't listen to this warning, along with Life of George, Fusion, FORMA, Master Builder Academy, Dimensions, and many others... with all those warnings about learning from past mistakes, LEGO must have on ear muffs and blinders, with a big bouncer-type guy standing at the door to make sure nobody disturbs them with dire warnings.

Hey now, don't diss MBA - it may have been an undeniable belly flop, but it absolutely did not suck. It just had an extremely specific target demographic and also required you to aquire each set in sequence, basically guaranteeing it's failure. I happened to be in the extremely specific target demographic, AND I somehow combed together a way to aquire all the sets as they released. Today, those 12 sets hold a very special place in my heart.

(Except maybe the inn. That one kinda sucked.)

I'm still waiting for the day that one of those sets land a spot in RSotD. Especially now that 9 of them are eligible!

By in Canada,

I know my brother would consider this the best Galidor, simply due to it's purple to not purple ratio.
