Looks like this is ONLY in 10297.
I haven't bought that yet. How is this being used? Is it a lid?

It’s a redesigned version of an existing part that’s never once been used as a lid. Huh.

It says it’s a lid, but it poses like a door.

If this half is for frame, where does the other half go?

Would make great cellar doors, like the ones in the Wizard of Oz. At that angle they could also be considered as a lid.

Two of these lids fill the 1x4x3 frame, one hinged to the left, the other to the right. Almost like a pair of doors...

It’s actually an acronym, stands for “Lets Inside Door” :D

These dark tan ones (used in the Boutique Hotel) are a new design variation and there is a huge problem with them: they sit too loose in the frame because of a slightly smaller height. So the cabinet doors in the hotel swing open just by slightly tilting the model.
I never thought I'd see the same quality problem the cheap knock offs have with the doors being too loose, but here we have the same from LEGO. A big no go in my opinion.
