NUMBA FOUR!

Thank you Huwbot, your gifts are most appreciated.

By in United States,

Hey, look, there’s two sixes in mid-somersault in the upper right corner.

Gravatar
By in United States,

Huwbot you are spoiling us lately aren't you!

(No joke though, this is one of the cooler Clikits sets for me. I'd love to see these parts incorporated into some sort of reef moc.)

By in Canada,

Is that supposed to be a headband, wristband or a stringed pair of earplugs — you know, for the screaming?

April 2022 on Brickset will be known for its infamy.

No April Fools article, but Huwbot has been more than making up for it!

‘Hi, I’m Huwbot. Every year Huw gives statistics that shows I don’t favor Clikits in Rsotd.”

Just remember April 2022 when that report comes around again.

By in United States,

This is incredible how unlikely it is for Huwbot to be picking so many Clikits in such a short period of time...but yet here we are.

By in United States,

Is this quite possibly the worst set Huwbot has ever pulled? I mean what is it? Some sort of accessory set . . . where you get like a handful of pieces? I have no idea how they charged $3 for this with any sort of a straight face.

You never saw the "dad" set? 3220

The secrets out. Huwbot was built around an old record player that occasionally gets stuck in the groove and needs a gentle kick to move on!

Don’t joke about that! I’m scared that in the admittedly unlikely event that I reach the ripe old age of 100 that LEGO confiscates my collection on the grounds that I’m beyond the permitted age. Not that I have any Clickits mind you.

Nah, that's just the age when your arthritic fingers won't be able to manage new sets ... you'll still be allowed to look back nostalgically on your old builds to remember how it used to be!

This is the worst UCS set by far.

Ah, for a second there, I thought maybe you’d figured out the joke, but now I’m not sure. Eh,
I’m pretty sure My Dad gets it.

By in Netherlands,

I must say that i like the package design. Fresh colours, neat letters, seashells, stars. I mean how much more Lego do you want it to be! Excellent set

Gravatar
By in Canada,

Umm...Does 'She' still sell these...and is store still by the seashore?...:D

Gravatar
By in United Kingdom,

Those shells are legit pretty neat, would love to see ones that colourful appear next time there’s an aquatic theme

I'm not sure I agree, I think this is one of the cooler Clikits sets we've had. I like the starfish, oceanic theme. I think it's nifty.

By in United Kingdom,

Those seashell parts are glorious! I own two of these sets (so far).

The three seashells! No toilet should be without those!

I have so been waiting for such a comment. Now let's wait for all the "what's he on about" reactions of all those who don't know Demolition Man :-)

Clickits April Fools the entire month ?

@Brickalili:
These are made of a hard material, probably either ABS (yellow shell and topmost starfish) or polycarbonate (the other five seashells and other five starfish). Either will take print without issue. The minifig-style seashell has a living hinge, so I’m pretty sure those are polyethylene. They found that rubber doesn’t hold print well (you can peel the stripes off the hair used for Dr. Inferno and Dr. D. Zaster), and PE seems like it might have the same problem due to texture and flexibility. Best you can expect is for them to be molded in brighter colors. So far, though, while the old shell that would constantly pop open has been made in five colors (including primary red?), the superior version that was introduced in 10243 has only shown up in white. Hopefully it’s not color-locked.

@WizardOfOss:
There’s enough for two, if you only need three.

It would have been a perfect movie to make a bunch of sets from. And wouldn't a minfig of Simon Phoenix be the coolest thing ever? They could even make those special VR-headsets....now that would be a true 18+ set ;-)

Indeed. But that "if".....don't tell me you don't know how to use the three seashells?

Those are some athletic sixes.

You know, I’m sure I eventually got around to watching it, once it came out on home video. Honestly, though, the only thing I remembered about that film was that, when they did the live broadcast of blowing up a building to promote the film, Wesley Snipes rolled up in a car with a sweep purple paint job. And that there was some other action star who arrived in something that probably had four wheels, too.

"Some other action star".....that's one way to describe Stallone ;-)

I think it is one of those action flicks that only got better with age. I just love the future society they sketched in this movie, so much thought went into that. And even when (fortunately) most of that never became reality, it certainly isn't the most far fetched future we've seen in movies. And thanks to Snipes and some other action star it still has a lot of solid action scenes and a good dose of humor. Always fun to watch!

@WizardOfOss:
He said want driving a car with a cool purple paint job. I tried to find either video or a photo of the car, and I’m not having any luck. It was called Countdown to Demolition, it was aired live on MTV in 1993, and I was originally under the impression that it was being filmed for inclusion in the film. What little I could find says it was a last-minute stunt to promote the film, after word got around that the building was slated for demo shortly before the film premiered.
