Road Racer is evolving!
Road Racer has turned into...
Blue Racer!
The name checks out.
We had a 4-day vintage set streak. :(
@MCLegoboy
Road Racer was either turned into a human car, or was a transformer robot in disguise all along. Hence the minifigure and this car both have yellow pieces.
“… and this impresses people?”
“Oh yeah, and I’m not easily impressed. Oh wow! A blue car!!!”
Hey hey hey, it's not just blue! There's some yellow in there!
@MCLegoboy:
And somehow it’s less blue.

Since when are things the 90s considered Vintage? I'm not that old! D:<
Umm, at least it had blue wheels? That's about all the compliments I can throw out there for this one.

It was technically last millennium…

H A R R U M P H !
Even if it's not that great, if I saw these in a store for $1, I'd be filling a cart full of the things. I'm a sucker for cheap LEGO.
And I hear they're free with bread. As a kid, I ordered one of the Hot Wheels sets from Little Debbie, and it never showed up.

Just a reminder that 2004 was almost 20 years ago.
Hmmm...maybe "Road Racer" merged with his car/cart to become "Blue Race"...Kinda' like 'Turbo Teen'...:)
Ayo, I had this one! Nice little dollar bin polybag.
You mean blue, yellow and black racer. Right?
I'm honestly hoping this trend of "little blue cars" continues for at least tomorrow as well
This was such a great promotional set. I used every single part in at least 6 mocs.

Hush now, nobody wants to be reminded of that.

Yeah, I got one of these with my order of 'Brabant sausage breads' at the local bakery. I didn't even have to buy a loaf of Waldkorn bread to get one!
And even back then we got a printed part in such an otherwise trivial little set. (I'm looking at you LEGO Star Wars UCS...!)
I'm fairly certain this came with my LEGO BrickMaster subscription, back when "LEGO BrickMaster" referred to a deluxe version of LEGO Club Magazine that came with a small set every month.
The 2x2 curved slopes and the medium blue wheels are the highlights of this set.
@cody6268:
Some years back, Target had a preorder bonus for some version of LEGO
City: Undercover, which was you got a Chase McCain minifig with more complete print than the retail version, if you put $1 down on a copy of the game. I got a bag full of them.
@Bricknave:
Wait, medium-blue wheels? I saw @madforLEGO wrote “blue wheels” and didn’t look that closely at it. I may have used one of these wheels on my 6-wide Mater (I was able to match the character, who I believe has one yellow, one light-blue, and two brown wheels).
Easy to convert to a quadbike.
I got two of these for a quarter each when they hit clearance at Walmart. Probably the best 50 cents I’ve spent since the 80’s. ??
