Terrible form. How does he expect to make the shot at that angle?

Yep. That sure is basketball.

The special arms, springs legs and shooting action worked surprisingly well on these figs.

@MCLegoboy:
See, you give it massive amounts of backspin as you throw it really high, gently a bit behind your head, and it will bounce back in the other direction and (potentially) land through the hoop. Unless Sweet Clyde slaps it into Bubblegum Tate’s waiting hands.

While laughing derisively at the minifig.

Set not only contains a basketball, but also contains a minifigure, a hoop, stand to hold the hoop, and a couple plates!

I once used a basketball net part on a Blacktron MOC, but it was one of the new styles.

All I see are a orange ball, a mini-figure and a hoop with a net... but confusingly, no basket.

Ah haha! Ah haha! Ah hahaha!

@ElephantKnight:
I once made Aquaman jump through the hoop in a Shamu costume. But to his credit, he did it without a net.

By in Canada,

These sports sets were great; my kids like both basketball and soccer, but never got into the hockey ones much even though I got the rink 65182 for them to try. I think it is because the hockey players weren’t minifigs like these. Can’t say I blame them (don’t have a 3578 yet).

Yellow LEGOs can't jump.

Coincidence this set is RSOTD when the NBA Finals are ongoing? I don't think so. There are no coincidences with Huwbot.

By in Finland,

This really shows how ridiculously huge those basketball hoops are.

I don’t think that’s a regulation sized hoop…

By in Netherlands,

Sports was such a weird theme. Yet for a few years it was everywhere and had multiple sport subthemes going at once.
The 2000s were weird man.

I know that dude. He was always around the courts even though he wasn't very good... And, he was always trying to sell you some speakers, rims, or cologne!

From the photo, it looks like this set comes with a smaller version of this same set. Does that also come with a smaller set?
It’s Russian Nesting Basketballs!
