It’s got eight eyes, and they’re all looking backwards.

By in Turkey,

I have couple of spare pull-back motors. Maybe I should check Racers theme for ideas.

The reason why there's so many Racers sets with Nitro is because
1) In the Drome Racers subtheme the team name is always in front of the name. Nitro is a team, as is H.O.T., Maverick etc. 4309, 4585, 4589 (possibly the Maverick Team?), 8363, 8364, 8370, 8383, 8471, 8473 all are tagged as belonging to the team.

2) in later sets like 8146 Nitro Muscle and 8194 Nitro Muscle it's because nitro propulsion is fast fast fast. And they are fast muscle cars. So nitro it is! Same 'gotta go fast' reason goes for 8649, 8682, 9095, 8210, 6591 and even 891844.

3) Because it's a fuel. Hence the fuel-addicted 2194 Nitroblast from Hero Factory. Seriously, that's his character. The story ends with him going to robot rehab!

3) I guess that means he’s off-limits for Ideas projects?

It's not a Technic set.

@gelkster:
2003 was when they had started to eliminate the Technic brand. The debut Bionicle sets in 2001 were released with Technic branding, while Technic SW sets had started the year before. In 2002, both themes dropped the Technic branding from their packaging, and Technic in general wasn’t really Technic. Except for one late release, general Technic sets in 2003 for released in Creator packaging with no Technic branding, and were largely Creator-style models that were just built with Technic parts. It would take until 2011’s 8110 before I remember people getting excited about Technic again.

I Always thought It's the gahlok Kal metallic blue (also used for the 2002 super Battle droids). Looks weird on that photo^^

I forgot about the armor, so I may have actually bought this for the Bionicle parts back in the day. The reason it looks weird is the rear of the bike is primary blue, with just the armor in dark-blue.
