And for Bionicle Day... Belville.

Well, whose got lore on this one?

By in Australia,

I can vaguely recall a small range of these Belville, garden-fairy themed sets. Not my normal cup of tea, but I bought a couple just for the pieces, they were so bright and colourful (and I liked having more variety in terms of Lego greenery for the parks and gardens in my Lego city).

By in Australia,

Some of those flowers/plants look pretty nice. For Belville anyway.

The big flower in the back is very pretty, as is the small mushroom in the front.

Also, happy European BIONICLE day! It's still August 9th for me, and October 8th is also considered BIONICLE day, but whatever.

Soon as I saw the name and the top of the image, I knew it was a Belville set before I even scrolled down.

Some really great pieces in these Belville sets.

That massive flower really gives a good sense of scale to the set and emphasises the ‘fairy’ aspect.

“I am the Lego fairy! I shall grant thee one Lego wish!”
“I wish they’d make an Icons set for Red Indians!”
“..... I’m leaving.”

I always liked the colors and look of Belville sets but never got any because I could never justly the poor price per content ratio.

@GSR_MataNui:
I think Europeans would celebrate October 8th, because they put the day before the month. In the US, it’s August 10th, because we put the month before the day.

Is that red thing a rake?

What exactly does she expect to rake at that scale?

The little garden fairies rake the forest floor to prevent forest fires in Finland.

That’s it. That’s the lore.

@iwybs:
Send them to California to teach them how to do forest management in the desert, because they can’t seem to get the hang of it.

Seriously, even with the price increases and all the other incompetence, Lego is not doing anything this stupid. So, maybe they WILL be ok.

...Except, the billion dollar meta thing and the gigantic factory in Veitnam. Yep, they're definitely in trouble... AGAIN. (See, The Toys That Made Us, Lego episode).

If you meant 'price per piece' than that is a fairly poor measure for that era of Sets (overvabundance of pricy parts - electronics, Vacuum Plates etc.). I also never understood why people are so obsessed with price-per-piece, especially given the fact that TLG has abused it quite often since they knew about it...
