@RaiderOfTheLostBrick:
60328 has all of the beach, but none of the water. If it was a desert, they would have just used a baseplate. And some ancient Egyptian paraphernalia.

Ah, I do love yellow-plates-as-sandy-beaches! Though it *IS* something that makes me think Pirates more than Paradisa.

Best Star Wars Set ever!

Watch that Dolphin, they can sometimes get a little... too friendly.

I mean, just look at those eyes and that smile! This Dolphin's dirty... (=_= )

Yeahhhhh.

YEAAHHHHHHHHHHH.

YEAHHHHHHH PARADISA WAS THE BEST

Can we get a South Beach style hotel in the modular line as a nod to Paradisa?

Is anyone else experiencing loading issues recently? I was assembling 8098 and the load times were unusually long.

Nah, he just wants to say "So long, and thanks for all the fish!"

Forget double-decker couches. This set has a double-decker boombox, baby.

Gravatar
By in Netherlands,

The set that finally gave me my first Dolphin.

Gravatar
By in United States,

The dolphin wants some of that daiquiri

By in United States,

My wife has the complete Paradisa collection. This one adds a nice connector between the different Paradisa beach sets.

Well... the cassette decks are side-by-side...

I was wondering if we'd need to explain what cassettes were!

I miss those printed parrots. And why is there a flower stalk there? There aren't many flowers on beaches.

@R1_Drift: I've been having trouble with the subsections on set pages (Images, Parts, Reviews, etc.) loading. I haven't had any issues with the main page or with individual articles.

By in Turkey,

Lovely scene. Also, so nice of that lady to share her lemonade with her dolphin firend...

This set was not available in the US.

One Paradisa RSoTD a day, keeps the bad mood away.

Cool moustache, dude

That lifeguard 'stand' looks like gonna' be more of a 'fall'...:)

Wasn’t of an age to be collecting much Lego myself when Paradisa came out but one of my cousins had a fair few of them and I really liked the whole vibe of them. All those warm and pastel colours, made the sets look really chill and fun

By in Germany,

I bought a couple of Paradisa sets over the last few years via ebay since I didn't get any as a kid.
Love the colour palette, and those printed baseplates are awesome.

By in Germany,

Paradise got you some real Baywatch or Miami Vice vibes. If you knew the shows as a kid, that is.

The parrot is a bonus, although it may be more comfortable in a palm tree than sitting on a milk bottle and the flowers seem a bit lonely. It would probably make more sense to have the ladder at the front to save all the aerobics getting into the chair and faster to save the poor girl's drink from the over friendly dolphin.

It would work, but we'd miss very heroic jumps.

Paradisa is one of the most relaxing themes. Each set gives you a sense of summer fun and a sense that the minifigs themselves are on vacation. Such a great theme!
This one is a great beach scene for not that many parts and presumably an affordable cost. There's even a rare dolphin here!

Exactly, it was refreshing to see minifigs just relax and enjoy life as opposed to the usual work-focused town theme.

Now replace the parrot with a mouse and the three most intelligent lifeforms on earth are present...

That's spooky, I just bought this set a few days ago!

I don’t mean to be overly critical but that’s not the best spaceship LEGO has ever done.

@ambr:
That parrot was standing on the ground just a few minutes ago. What have they been feeding him?

And clearly, she’s offering the dolphin a drink of water.

@Zander:
Dolphins don’t need spaceships.

Friends before Friends.

The entire Friends theme itself is like a Paradisa homage.

Paradisa has nice houses, funfairs, beaches, cafes, and horses.

Friends ... Also has nice houses, funfairs, beaches, cafes, and horses (plus more), but with minidolls.

True. But the amount of beach focussed sets (especially with an actual beach) is quite low in Friends while it's like 60% of Paradisa.
Also, in Paradisa every other set is a beach café complete with butlers.

Friends needs more butlers. How are you going to reach maximum relaxation if there isn't a person specifically hired to pamper you?

We need to hit that maximum laziness!
