Yep, can't make it any more clear than that.

By in United Kingdom,

Those little driver bodies with minifig heads slapped on were so odd.

By in United States,

What a straightforward set name for such a bloody BIZARRE little set.

Fully 1/3 of the pieces are the wheels and tires.

I can't tell if the little fellow there is angry or excited at the set name.

My favorite part is when the weird little driver said: "Its Blue Lego Carin Time!" and proceeded to Blue Lego Car all over the racetrack. Truly one of the Blue Lego Cars of all time! 10/10 set would recommend

Im genuinely sorry, but the new set has me all hyped up for Morbius memes...

I'll always associate this head with the name "Captain Fazoom". Not that I was invested in that character, but I'd been unaware this head existed, and haven't forgotten about it even after two decades.

Wooow...he's REALLY movin'...even the packaging has speed-lines...:D

And now that I think of it...how do we know his face isn't that way because of how fast he's going...sort of like that scene out of "Spies Like Us", after Chevy Chase and Dan Ackroyd do the centrifuge/gravity test (Both w/faces 'stuck'/'frozen': "Wnt som caffee..." "Tha' b grat..." :))

That driver has real "Jeremy Clarkson in the Ariel Atom" energy. I wonder if his epiglottis is full of bees?

For a moment I thought this one came with an alternate female head from Knights Kingdom (the Princess Storm head), but I think that's 4300.

EDIT: That's the case. But this one has an alternate female head and hairpiece too! It's a female face with pointed eyebrows (the 'Lucky' head from the 2000 racers sets) and red female hair (like 2001 Snape's). Pretty neat for such small promo sets to provide, huh?!

This guy's expression is one from a madman. He's not even wearing a helmet!
I think I have a figure in a bin somewhere with this guy with a stuntman body and a hood wearing a fabuland axe wrapped in chains. A serial killer figbarf. Yes, really.

I have this... for some reason. I was not into LEGO at the time, nor do I have any recollection getting this, then or afterwards. Yet, I have it. It's a weird little set, but charming nonetheless.

I’m guessing an “allowance money” set aimed at young builders.

Which is OK.
