Small projects call for small equipment!

Great little set! The use of the rail part on the scoop works well an the model uses a satisfying SNOT technique in the back. The model is surprisingly substantial in mass. And the other builds are great too.

The canister mini sets were great! All of the 2007 ones are especially.
I miss this kind of set.

I think I had this once... my nostalgia meter never fails me. And It's going off right now!

This was one of my favorite sets of all time as a kid. I think I may have to rebuy it one day…and its companion sets!

I guess RPotD is suspended until Christmas, since even yesterday's entry has disappeared from the front page.

Wow look, a windscreen without a milky tinge to it. Transparent brown it might be but I’d take it over those frosted clear pieces nowadays. Hope R&D catches up soon.

I was wondering about that. Guess they had to take it offline to fix the glitch. Pity, the part fit the season so well.

Okay, who broke the snowglobe?

Those CG renders looked so, so bad back then. Cute little set though!

@Miyakan:
Glitch? What glitch? I didn't show up until around 9:30, so I never saw if anything posted in the first place. If it did, it would have automatically bumped the previous post off the front page, and I don't know if that would be able to come back. Well, there's a back door now, through the comment notifications. I'll have to go poking around...

Nope. December 5th (yesterday, according to Brickset time) is the most recent post. And the part description is embedded in the URL, so there's no sane way to see if the article even still exists.

i remember getting this set from the hospital gift shop after i went to the children's hospital, i always missed building lego when i was in hospital, i couldn't bring enough to build much away from home, but this set was just a nice little thing to play with and randomly build things out of. it made it feel a lot more like home, especially given i finally was at a hospital with staff that actually treated me with care, and seeing this again reminds me of that... even these simple little sets can be so meaningful.

Yellow construction stuff...what's not to like?

The first decade of XXI century is when Lego started doing renders of sets instead of photos. I never liked the renders, they look so artificial. Photos had a certain charm to them.

@huw What happened to random part of the day? I miss it.

I absolutely loved these Creator pods as a child, with this one and 4918 Mini Flyers standing out as my favourites!

With regard to Random Part of the Day, I removed the article last night because it had been published without an image. That happens very occasionally and I add the image manually, but in this case I could not find anything other than a small thumbnail image of the bauble element in question. As far as I know though, the articles will return as normal in a couple of hours.

@CapnRex101:
What bauble element would that be? One of the two ornament baubles?
