Pretty nifty little double catapult there.

Ninja was what I always hoped Ninjago would be.

At least we have the fantastic Temple of Airjitsu.

The Ninja subtheme walked so Ninjago could run.

As usually happens with sets of this type, each of the three incarnations of this has a different name in the Brickset database: 1099 Ninja Blaster and 3016 Master and Heavy Gun.

@brick_r:
I think this predates South Park, so maybe TLG is due some Tracey Ullman-style royalties.

Is it me or is that grey brick in the middle off, somehow?

I had to take a second look too because it does actually look like an impossible configuration (for a time when renders weren’t a thing, at least). However, the brown slope isn’t actually connected to the dark grey brick; in fact, the dark grey brick is a technic brick with 2 pins and the slopes are connected to light grey bricks with a technic hole plugged into either side of said technic brick. It indeed looks as if the light grey bricks are the reflective sides of the dark grey brick though, good catch!

OMG! I do that with my saucepans too!

Interesting idea, but cannot beat castle catapults when it comes to throwing your rubbish into the neighbours garden.

Ah, ninja. This guy is supposedly the leader of the robbers. Or was it the eyepatch guy? Thing is, there's only two people to the robbers, plus the black ninja(s). And unlike the blue samurai, grey ninja and black ninja no set has more than one minifig in this wave of Ninja.

So... are the robbers supposed to be just two people?

Anyway, these carts are always a fun inclusion. And this one has two catapults! Very useful! Probably to knock down those ninja gliders.

You play jai alai with saucepans?

Another guy I got in my October Lot... though missing his helmet as of yet; it's on my list of parts I need to Bricklink. And also technically from 6088 Robber's Retreat instead of this set.

Still, classic Ninja is classic Ninja, which is always good in my book, and I'm happy to now own more than just one of the smallest sets from this theme! :D
