This looks like a really cool polybag/people-pack.

kinda interested why it's called Shell F1 Team and not Ferrari...

All this time I thought it was Scuderia Ferrari...

I didn't even know this existed lol (tbf I've spent an abnormally long time not knowing any Shell sets bar the 1990s/2000s ones existed).

Cue sad "Everything is Awesome" cover as Minifigures and polar bears get drowned in oil by a cigar-smoking capitalist atop 9486.

Back when Lego partnered with disreputable companies

oh right they're still making harry potter.

That's a pretty pathetic looking Ferrari. White really isn't a great color for that brand, either.

Three figs in a poly with a flask and handcart? And they’re all waving at me? Sign me up.

Set is titled Shell F1 Team, has the Ferrari logo on the polybag, as well as a V Power logo. Im not sure this set can even decide what it is. Is it a Shell set? Is it a Ferrari set? Is it a V Power set? Is it an F1 set? Its kinda just a set selling stickers lol.

This set was from a promotion at Shell gas stations. I believe you could collect all the (Ferrari) cars and then either get a bigger shell tanker polybag or this polybag or something.
That's why this is listed as a Shell polybag.

Edit: the tanker was a different year. This was solely connected to the six cars from that year.

I recall wanting this the most because it contained minifigs. Especially the female ponytail element and erlenmeyer flasks excited me because they were still relatively new. Nowadays they appear
e v e r y w h e r e
So I'm not too interested in this one.

One of the two sets from this Shell-polybag range I didn't get, 30194 was the other one I was too late for....

As Binnekamp mentioned you could get these at the Shell gas station, if I remember correctly for just €2 each, and a certain amount of gas....I just didn't drive enough back then to get them all.

I started collecting these for my nephew. Who wasn't even born yet when the first wave was released, so yeah, maybe a tad early. But I couldn't keep myself from building them, and this more or less was what got me out of my dark ages. And introduced me to so many pieces I had never seen before.

The cars were a bit hit-or-miss, some were very basic while others had quite interesting building techniques considering their size. The pullback motors, just two plates high, were also surprisingly good. The minifigs though, all decoration was done with stickers.

Surely not even their faces, though? One shudders to think of putting stickers on minifigure heads…

Ow, no stickers for their faces indeed. Luckily even Lego knows they can't go THAT far.
