    Yay, proto-minifigures!

They're gonna beat that fire up with that hinged ladder, and driving overtop of it hoping to kick up dirt. No tools, no hose, no arms to hold any of that stuff anyway. Everyone just hope for the best, and for future reference: don't play with fire.

Ironic that the Fire Engine set is 693 degrees Celsius

Interestingly enough this type of long truck with a trailer cart was done very recently in 60321 : Fire Brigade , and not done that many times.

7239 : Fire Truck , 6593 : Blaze Battler , 6480 : Hook and Ladder Truck , 672 : Fire Engine and Trailer could somewhat compare but aren't quite as long (4/6 wide proportions taken into account) as this, or the 2022 versions.

Majority of other long fire trucks in sets have a cab and trailer design.

Also honorable mentions to 640 : Fire Truck and the 6 wide 374-2 : Fire Engine which even had steering

Haven't we seen this one before?

EDIT: yes we have, though that was set number 485.

I remembered it because this fire truck provides such convenient storage space for leftover body parts....

I'm curious about the trailer. Does it represent a portable pump or a water tank?

I love the Pillar of Salt figures, cute little fire engine, reminds me of the ones I used to build as a kid.... With a cooler ladder

    By in United States,

That's quite the complex firetruck considering the firemen have no limbs or faces.

The "C" means it's a Canadian set, the U.S. didn't use a letter in front of the set number.

Also, it's counterpart set in the U.S. was one of my first Lego sets as a kid.

Oof. Hang out with today’s VSotW, or yesterday’s RSotD…. I feel like today’s RPotD is fate providing a little social commentary.

The US version of this (485) was my first, ever, LEGO set. I still have parts of it in my collection.

Something that's just occurred to me about this and 485: Must be hard to climb a ladder when your legs don't bend and your arms a affixed to your sides.

Well that's a useful feature for a fire engine... Does it double as a hearse?

Our first VSotW double up, as the US counterpart to this set 485 previously made an appearance.

Was there another set that was supposed to attach to that funny little trailer at the back? It just seems so vestigial

I thought the C was one of the letters that mid seventies sets used to indicate the building difficulty?

Maybe....but I was just thinking of those two guys at the back to have a space to store their upper legs when they get off their a**es.

I do hope it's locked though. Imagine have conquered the fire, coming back to the truck....and someone stole your upper legs! I can only hope they have some spares, otherwise they'll have to stand for their entire life!

One of my 1st sets still proudly owned. In fact I only recently managed to aquire the ladder again after my original one got airfix paint on it back in the 80s... yes it took me that long to bother replacing it.

I had that one listed originally but it's quite different from the others in design, with the main systems on the back trailer.

Even if they locked it, it's probably really easy to break in. If they lose their legs, do they get a handicap sticker?

"Today, Lego City suffered a huge loss; as City Hall burned to the ground. Officially stated: "The Fire Department could not align their ladder to fight the fire. Also, all Firefighters on scene seemed to have spinal issues." The Fire Chief was contacted for comment...but he has NO MOUTH!!!"

I’m pretty sure this is a store display at a mall, intended to show off and help sell…something. It’s got unposable miniquins, the fire truck has a ladder but no hose, and it looks like it was designed by someone who has only a vague idea of what a fire truck actually looks like.

735's main model seems like an example as well.
