Lost his dentures on the flight over. The Jet Stream gets real windy.

By in United States,

That's an interesting technique for bushy eyebrows.

By in Netherlands,

Looks like the ancestor of 30573: Santa with a similar build.

You better watch out, you better not cry
Better not pout, I’m tellin’ you why,
Santa Clause has eyes that see into your soul

I’m not sure what’s going on with his legs, but I’m pretty sure it’s not anatomically possible.

By in New Zealand,

I think I have this one. Or at least one similar to it.

By in Canada,

Look Mrs. Claus! No hands!

By in United Kingdom,

Huwbot obviously checked our impending weather forecast and understandably assumed that Christmas was on the way!

At first I thought his eyes were hollow studs, but they're flat round tiles over headlight bricks. Creepy!

@ GSR_MataNui:
It’s actually a useful technique…if you use it responsibly. A black minifig camera, a matching Apollo stud, and a clear round tile combine to make a very convincing lens assembly, as the hollow space swallows any light that enters. I also used white headlight bricks with appropriately colored round tiles to make the eyes on my Pixar Cars cars, but I also filled in the hole with black 3L bars.

By in Australia,

Ah... I got this one from the Lego Club magazine subscription. It's a shame they stopped giving out polybags at Christmas. This set might have been the last one actually.

Same here! Given the rarity of polybags in Australia at the time (and today), this was an awesome gift. Really wish they gave out a small build in every issue.

Those were the days...

@PurpleDave: Yeah, I was thinking that it was a pretty effective technique, in the absence of specialized printed tiles like 30573 used.

It's like a car crash... horrible, yet I can't look away.

I laughed. Thank you!

By in United Kingdom,

I know people are focusing on the eyes, but I don’t think they’d be half as bad if not over that slight gap of mouth. Gives him an unsettlingly hungry look…

By in Canada,

Reminds me; note to self: Watch my copy of "Violent Night-Director's Cut" this coming weekend...:D

By in Netherlands,

Turns out Santa was actually a gnome with eyes of a seer this whole time. He doesn't just see you when you're sleeping. He can see
e v e r y t h i n g

As for positives, I... uhm. Like the eyebrows? The stripes of color are effective too, although the 'gloves' are as tall as their fur lining (one plate each). The beard is well done too.

By in United Kingdom,

This reminds me of the Ashens Christmas Tat video one year where there was a Santa bubble machine with the same look...
"MY PAIN IS ETERNAL!!"

By in Sweden,

this is suprisingly fitting considering it began snowing here today

Gravatar
By in Denmark,

I think it is good looking. I had to look at those eyes for a few moments before I figured out how they were build:)

Here, too.

I did notice last night how much the hat looks like a beret, which is used by many military units (mostly elite units, within the US armed forces).

So this is what happens at first when Santa gets infected by the Last of Us fungus. Soulless eyes, open mouth, impossible stance. Can't wait to have nightmares about that.

I personally looked at this set and thought to myself, "Wow, He looks like a stressed-out hot mess. Wonder what did him in."
