Random minifig of the day: coltlbm17
Posted by Huwbot,
Today's random minifigure is coltlbm17 March Harriet, The LEGO Batman Movie, Series 1 (Minifigure Only without Stand and Accessories). It was produced in 2017 and has appeared in 2 sets.
If you'd like to buy one you should find it for sale at BrickLink.

This much-requested feature will be going live overnight tonight.
The new schedule for random articles is:
1am - random part
2am - random minifig
3am - random set
These are UK times, which will be GMT+1 from Sunday.
Minifigs will be chosen at random from the 10,000 released since 2010 and certain categories will be excluded, such as Duplo.
I have chosen 2010 as it was the year CMFs were introduced and, hopefully, the quality of pictures should be better than for older ones.
There is currently no way to prevent figures being chosen more than once but I'll work on that.
Hooray for new features! Thanks @huw !
Nice. And it starts with one I have, too!
A funny new feature featuring a bunny creature.
Wonder what Huwbot will pull out of the hat? Oh, nicely played.
A great idea, thanks @Huw :)
So obvious and yet I never thought of it! Should be fun.
Cool! Can we have a Classic (pre-CMF era) Minifig of the week every Sunday, please?
I feel like we should have kicked off with a more Batman-y Batman minifig, but I guess this will have to suffice.
Great new series and I'm excited about that, but this is not a great fig to start, in my opinion. Blah colors, weird vibes for a Lego minifig.
great for new series
Excellent!
Awesome feature. Thanks
Now can’t wait for the scaladolls.
Here's an interesting March Harriet fact.
In The LEGO Batman Movie, The Penguin had two vehicles: a duck car and a white fancy car.
When The Penguin was driving the white fancy car, it was March Harriet who rode in the duck car.
A NEW FEATURE!
Must say something, it’s the first entry, must say something…
Welcome, bunny?
How appropriate for this month! Next month I'm renaming her April, then following months she'll be renamed May and June.
I used to go to grade school with a gal named September, and we would have an hour each day of physical education. We started grade school back then in September and the PE teacher liked giving each kid a nickname, except when he got to her he just called her by her given name until the calendar changed months when he proceeded to call her October, followed by November, then December. Lulz!
Huw is awesome!!!
10,000 minifigures to choose from and Huwbot selects the only one that’s a prostitute! Huwbot, are you being mischievous? :~O
Great idea, and not a hare out of place.
WOOHOO!!
“ It was produced in 2017 and has appeared in 2 sets.”
The two sets being the CMF and the complete CMF series? That’s going to be annoying to me, not really two sets, is it?
It's a shame that the 2010 cutoff excludes a lot of the figures that I'm nostalgic for, like those from Adventurers and other "classic" themes. But 10k+ is plenty to go through.
Dilemma: This figure appears in 2 sets.
For complete CMF Series owned, do you mark the individual figure set as owned (71017-1 through -20: [individual figure]) thereby showing you have 20 "owned" sets or do you just mark the complete set as owned (71017: LEGO Minifigures-The LEGO Batman Movie Series-Complete), thereby showing you own 1 set? Or both, which could artificially inflate your total owned sets?
I'm not sure I'll have much to say for most minifigs. I'm not a minifig collector, nor do I value them above sets like some people do (a thing that has no doubt exploded by the onset of licenses, especially ones where the focus IS the minifigs over the build). But as this is the first one, I'll have this to say:
It's March, and it's almost easter. Coincidence? I think NOT!
Oh, and it's the year of the bunny -I mean rabbit too.

You should see what the Friends minidolls get up to after hours!

Shh what happens at the Friends slumber parties stay at the slumber parties. But it would explain how they share so many outfits.
Excellent; thanks, Huw.
Were there really 10000 minifigs released in the last 13 years? That's insane.
I think this feature is pretty cool, I'm not really into minifigs so I'm sure I'll see a bunch I've never seen before. It would be cool if it went back to the late 90s, there were a bunch of really weird looking ones for a few years.

That's a staggering number! Then I looked at the Minifigs page and pulled down the Year selector and saw there were over 900 minifigs for 2021 and 2022 alone. I consider myself an ultra-fan of minifigs but I'm glad I don't try to collect them all. o_0
So awesome! I love the "Random X of the Day" posts but including minifigs will be serious fun. Thank you!

10000 / 13 = ~770 minifigures per year
If LEGO released on average 255 sets per year containing minifigures, that would be approximately 3 minifigures per set. Not too insane, pretty much what I'd expect as an average distribution.
Kinda bummed that Classic figs won’t be included
Great new thing to look forward to each day, thanks!
Though a slight shame classic figs won’t be included as there are a lot of cool and unique ones, especially since around 1995. Understandable if they don’t have good photos.
On the topic of this minifigure, I really dislike how much that torso tries to make it known this minifigure is based off a woman. Weird level of detail imo
While I get it, Starting at 2010 is a little dissapointing.
No Johnny Thunder, or original Classic Space dudes.
Amazing - thank you!
2010 start also misses most of the Clone Wars figures comments on those, making fun of all the ugly face prints would have been entertaining...

Johnny Thunder came in a 2014 TLM set, while all the revamped CS dudes are in the pool... including Benny!
!!! THIS IS NEW !!!
Like others have said, slightly disappointed that it's only post-2009 minifigures; that excludes almost everything from before I went into my 'dark age', and I'll miss the chance for my minifigure 'old friends' to show up. Even so, though, still a neat little feature! :D
On a different note, I'm pleased that we start off with a girl minifigure for the first entry in this series ^^ Although I have no further context for the character beyond that, since I know very little about non-main Batman characters.
Lore, anyone? xD

This is what I came to say. 2010 is barely going to have any figures I have or know much about, plus it's fun to speculate on the older characters! I hope Huw changes this at some point.

Especially Windu...
How many different mini figures were released between 1977 and 2009 inclusive? It wouldn’t surprise me if it’s less than the number of figs from 2010 up until now?

Maybe they should rename the line to More Than Friends :~P
Do minidolls count at all?
After all, strictly speaking they aren't minifigs to begin with. Just like Duplo, Technic figs, or Christian, I mean My Dad.
Nice new feature, @Huw! That was certainly a pleasant surprise. I still remember when the TLBM CMF Series One was announced. I was surprised by two things: One, that they'd found a way to re-use Bunny Suit Guy's headgear, and two, that they'd done what was basically a Playboy Bunny. (Although they also re-used the headgear for the Lunar Rabbit Robot in 80032, who I still say should have been named Lunar Rab-Bot.)
@CCC:
Bricklink’s classification also lumps DC and Marvel under a single Superheroes theme (DC Superheroes and Marvel Superheroes have always been two distinct themes that are never marketed as one theme). TLBM is also rolled into this Superheroes theme, but the 2006-2008 Batman theme isn’t (I don’t think the Sony Spiderman theme is either). TLBM, TLBM2, DC, and Marvel CMF series, and the TLBM and Marvel Bricktober box sets are part of the CMF theme, but not the Superheroes theme, or their respective actual themes. TLBM and DC characters from the Dimensions game are part of the Dimensions theme, but not Superheroes, or their respective actual themes. Did I miss anything? It’s so hard to tell with such a superior classification system…
@ThatBionicleGuy:
As Joker said, they were all _real_ Batman rogues. Z-list, in this case, if we’re being generous, but legitimate. March Harriet, aka March Hare, is really Harriet Pratt. She got recruited into a Wonderland Gang by Tweedledee and Tweedledum, who had used Mad Hatter’s mind control tech to force him to be the “leader”. Other members included the Walrus, the Carpenter, the Lion, and the Unicorn (the DC Rebirth roster drops the last two in favor of the White Rabbit, and this time the Max Hatter was the actual leader). She’s so unremarkable that she doesn’t even get her own Wikipedia page, instead being lumped in with all the characters who are so insignificant they just get listed alphabetically. And even then, whoever wrote it cared so little that they ended on an incomplete sentence.
It’s maybe not worth noting, but it is possible, so I’ll mention that there’s a CMF carpenter, at least two CMF unicorns (plus two Vidiyo unicorns), a CMF Gryffindor lion hat, and a few options for a white rabbit. The Tweedles wouldn’t be too hard to figure out. Somehow they managed to skip Max Hatter in the Batman, DC Superheroes, and TLBM themes, but he’s also pretty easy to put together. That really just leaves the Walrus as a challenge to assembling your very own Wonderland Gang. If you want to. I wouldn’t suggest it. They’re not that exciting.
She’s also not the only Batman villain who has been a prostitute. I think it was around the time Batman Returns released that Selina Kyle’s backstory was changed to reflect that she was a former prostitute. Holly Robinson, a sidekick of hers, who even subbed in as Catwoman when Selina had a daughter, had also been a prostitute. I don’t know if March Harriet was ever a bonafide prostitute, or if she stayed just on the other side of legal as an escort-and-nothing-more, but the two Catwomen were definitely red-light-district.
My wish came true! I knew this would happen!
[Anything new on Brickset today...?
Why in the world is that minifig on the homepage?]
Good to see minifig of the day has finally been added!
Random is as random does

Are her sisters named Summer, Autumn, and Winter?
Nice. Can’t wait to see where this goes.
A beautiful new feature on the same day my first ever LEGO set is RSOTD! That's gotta be a sign, right?
While my own predilections would have reversed the polarity of the time chosen (everything BEFORE 2010), I'll definitely learned more this way. And, who knows, maybe we'll get "Vintage Fig of the Week" someday.
I, uh, don't have a lot to say about Bunny Lass here. I'm a fig guy, but the costumed figs are just a big blind spot for me.
Great idea! And I have the first one!!
One of my fave figs to come out of TLBM, and if memory serves, she came with a 'tommy'-type gun...only Red Hood beat that with his uprated pistols...:)
@PurpleDave: You are correct about Catwoman's history, in fact her 'new past' started in 'Batman: Year One' (juuuust after Crisis on Infinite Earths); Bruce in a 'Proto-Bat' look starts traling the back alleys of Gotham, runs into Selena and Holly and their...'handler' (yeah, let's go with that:)). Bruce begins laying out the last guy, when H & S attack Bruce, causing him to flee. Later, after Bruce goes 'full-Bat', Selena inspired to don her own gear and identity.
Can't wait to see the chaos the comments will make for certain figs.
Is this the right time to ask when Build a Minifig will get added to the database?! It like an unholy element section of my collection just sitting outside the law! If I can't log things do they truly exist?!
