Friends is not my thing, but you've got to give it to them - that thing is a beast, one of many very impressive Friends sets over the past decade.
I didn't know that the Friends had their own private yacht! I guess they're all rich. Explains why they have all the time and money to go off and save animals away from Heartlake.
I swear this set came out like two years ago.
brb drinking myself to sleep.
Yeah, I have nothing bad to say about this. It's $10 overprice if you're just looking at piececount, but the boat hulls are pretty big things to mold so it evens out, and it just looks like a great set. Also come on, there's dolphins, and who doesn't love dolphins?
Oh man I love this set. Friends is the theme that we often wish for City to be.
I mean imagine a yacht of this scale in minifig style. I’d lose my mind.
Bought it twice for the hull which I failed to use so far.

And bananas
Below Deck Heartlake City.
Which of the following statements is true:
1. It’s shaped like a dolphin.
2. It’s made of dolphins.
3. It’s designed for hooking up with friendly dolphins.
4. Dolphins are the Blacktron of Heartlake City.
@JGW3000:
hate bananas…

You just put this song in my head.
"I like to eat, eat, eat, dolphins and bananas...
I like to eat, eat, eat, dolphins and bananas..."
I am not well. XD
Makes me wonder what we could have had with Paradisa theme. The Friends builds are sometimes great, but the minidolls put me off.
Great set!
We have or had 3 of these - every bulk purchase of old Friends LEGO has one of these, or at least the majority of the hull and other key parts!
We all love the minidolls!
I dismissed this one when it came out, but it's actually the most complete yacht ever made by lego up to that point. The interior is amazing, judging from the instructions!
Also, isn't that the minidoll used for the 'build the bags seperately' graph in instructions for minidoll themes? I recognize her from the Elves instructions.
And the Belville bucket appears in a Friends RSotD once again. Much as I like this set, the open-air shower always amused me. I mean, I know it's probably just for rinsing salt water off after re-boarding the yacht after a swim in the ocean or something like that, but it still makes me think the Friends are exhibitionists. That said, I do like a lot of the touches, such as the slide on the back, the angled loungers on the bow, and the little smartphone dock so they can blast dance music at other boaters through those big, side-mounted speakers. (Of course it's dance music! Do they look like rap or rock fans to you?)
@Binnekamp: I think the one you're thinking about is Emma, who isn't even in this set. Looking at the instructions for this set, she does look very similar, but her outfit, at the very least, is completely different.

Don’t let minidolls put you off missing out on some fantastic sets. The difference in scale with minifigs is negligible, and they’re easily replaced with minifigures.
I found one of these in charity shop but unfortunately it was incomplete.
Great set though. Life in Heartlake City does seem rather wonderful doesn't it?
The hull pieces only appear in this set and the later 41381: Rescue Mission Boat, which appears to be smaller but has around 300 more pieces and $90? So for the size and play potential this is great value.
I always thought this set was fantastic, would have loved a City style one with minifigs.

41381 is 1 boat section longer, ( but 41015 has a bigger interior) and was still better priced compared to what 41433 : Party Boat was
41015 : Dolphin Cruiser, but is also from 2013 so the price certainly would be higher now. But 41702: Canal Houseboat was still quite fairly priced for a 2022 large boat.

31083: Cruising Adventures and the alternate build from 31052: Vacation Getaways were some very good minifig ships.

With all the other unsettling things that go on in Heartlake City, this one wouldn't surprise me at all.
The first of several fantastic Friends boats!
@ambr: No, the hull pieces appear in several other sets, but this and 41381 were the only ones to have them in white.

Check page 2 of the 41772 instructions. She's not an exact match but I'm pretty sure it's the same hair at least.
Regret not getting this one. It was 20% off for the longest time at Target and others and just never pulled the trigger….
@TheOtherMike:
The ironic thing is that, if that’s what it really is for, the yacht would be pumping water from the lake so you could wash the lake water off with it. I mean, it’s probably run through a filtration system first, but still…

"Plus minidolls can't get naked anyway, unlike minifigures."
Small mercies, there. Given their body proportions, they’d probably look like skeletons wearing skin suits.
@Ridgeheart:
You missed the obvious joke with Andrew, but I don’t know if he’s got the right build to make it work.
@Binnekamp: Yeah, looking at the actual Emma minidoll (which I didn't bother to do earlier). I think you might be right. If it is her, she's still wearing a different outfit, though, which she doesn't wear in any of her other appearances. And if you don't count the microdoll named Maya (which can't be her, as the skintone is different), she's been in three sets, counting this one. Also, which set did you mean to link? There isn't a set 41772.

This is the first Friends set that I *remember* seeing and thinking "oh, I would enjoy converting that for my Town figs." I'd been converting fleshtoned figs to yellow for years by then, so it was the logical next step.
I didn't actually buy this set, since that was a tight money time, but I almost had the chance to get it as part of a giant tupperware/Sterilite used lot at a local thrift store--but there were THREE such giant tubs and it was stretching my defendable-to-my wife LEGO budget to buy one of them, so I cherrypicked the one that looked like it had the most Star Wars. I do wonder what wonders I missed out on, though.
I never bought this new. I kept debating it, but never did. A couple years ago found it spread into various bags at the thrift store. I grabbed the bag that had the hulls, and I was happy. Only parts I really wanted.
Obligatory Blacktron comment here.
I remember seeing this in the Wal-Mart toy section in one of those retail display cases. We had just adopted our daughters then and was looking for something to get for them that first Christmas I guess it was. I thought the price was crazy but it made an impression on me as I hadn't been to a toy aisle in years. We did end up getting one used, much later...and now I have a few of them out of bulk bins.
