Ah yes, the totally accurate depiction of that part of the movie...
Ever since Disney has had a regular agreement with LEGO to have licensed sets made of upcoming projects, it's almost always resulted in disaster because they're too secretive.
I remember when Revenge of the Sith was coming out, and everything looked exactly as it did in the movie as the sets in the LEGO Magazine a couple months beforehand (within reason, like 95% accuracy). It was great.
I won't claim that other companies have done better, but I bet Warner Bros. and Universal were a bit more forthcoming with their licenses, but pre-Disney Lucasfilm had to have been the most transparent from the looks of the sets at the time.
Hey, it’s Dead Tom, from Muppet Treasure Island!
I do wish I had been in Lego when all the POTC sets came out. They have great minifigures.
Easily one of the weirdest Pirates of the Caribbean sets. A really fun piece on its own, but with practically no resemblance to the film
Really should have come with Angelica instead of Barbossa or Dead Tom. My favorite is still Whitecap Bay with the two mermaid minifigures.
I love that they used the Atlantis treasure key holders for the columns.
I like the Royal Navy privateer Barbossa minifig here; swapping the legs for plain white ones and the head for something more dignified gives a good minifig for portraying imperial ship captains or other high-ranking officers!
I started with LEGO rather late in life. This was my very first set.
Not sure how water can keep a boulder up in the air for a long amount of time

At the Ripley's Museums (and some other places I've been), they have a giant granite sphere maybe 40" across that is held above its roost by water pressure alone; some have the map of the world etched on them but most are smooth. It's not levitating, but one can get a friction grip on it and spin it around on the water's surface. I enjoy doing that whenever I visit.
I’ve always wanted this. Still want it. It was on my wanted list for years here on Brickset. Sigh. I wish I had it. And I will wish forever.
One of those "how did I end up having every part except those minifigs?" sets.
@MandalorianCandidate:
Well, PotC came from the Disneyland theme park, and they bought the Muppets, so this was clearly a secret cameo. Also, the first Muppet minifig.
@Maxbricks14:
The mall where our local LEGO Store is located has at least two granite spheres, maybe 3’ in diameter, “floating” on water fountains like @MeisterDad described. The fountain has to have a perfectly circular ring for the sphere to rest in, and it has to be large enough that the sphere can’t be pushed sideways out of it. Once you’ve got that, you just need to increase the water pressure to the point that it just _barely_ lifts the stone, and the water will flow out the tiny gap between the stone and ring. Water acts as a lubricant, and the spherical stone will be very evenly balanced, so it takes very little effort to get it spinning by hand.

Probably by magically flowing upwards like in the movie ;)
As for the set... it's not accurate at all. But it looks nice at least. Perhaps nicer that the small arch in the movie would have been. The waterfall vinyl part does its job to bring the arch together and the steps look dignified. And at least there's two chalices too!
“Give me another round of Pirates of the Caribbean!”
“Are you sure? You know they get more watered down each time.”
“I don’t care.”
*Blender noise*
“Hey, don’t mix it up too much, I want it to taste exactly like the first four!”
Take away the minifigs and this could be a Chima set!

So like the entire 1st wave of endgame sets
@SearchlightRG:
I suppose it says all that needs be said about both films, that you’re getting this one mixed up with the fifth film.
I always liked Blackbeard's fancy sword. I gave it to my pirate captain on my green/white/black-colored adaptation of the ship from Barracuda Bay.

Technically I was just quoting a Studio C sketch.
Beautiful set--one of my favourites. No idea if it's movie-accurate, as I saw the movie once and have forgotten 98.5% of it.
Why is it one of my favourite sets? Because Barbossa's hat and torso are that good. And Blackbeard is smashing too.
@SearchlightRG:
It was more fun assuming someone couldn't tell the two apart.
