Still looking for that man that fell in the river in LEGO City...

This is quite a cool looking boat, I kinda wish I owned it. Perhaps because it is black and white with a trans colour?

But the Blacktron inside of my is leery of anything with the word "Police" on it, even if the word Space isn't in front.

That year had some of the coolest boat hulls!

Very pretty! I remember this in my oldest catalogues. Always liked it. Got the 1996 Police floating boat, which I remember fondly, but this is a step up.

Oooo cool. I remember seeing this in the catalogue when I was young. Very nice boat.

Edit: Ha, I then noticed Formendacil’s similar comment above.

By in Italy,

Lovely boat from that golden early 90s era.

By in New Zealand,

Don't think I ever had any of the boats from Town. They look fun enough.

By in Australia,

I think this was a birthday present for me in '92 or '93. I was a big fan of Lego Police sets, and this was a gorgeous boat (and my first ever out of the line). I still own it (cleaned it recently) and it's still in perfect condition. I had so much fun with this set, as a kid.

The stickers haven't survived the test of time, but they never do.

One of my favorites from my childhood-and I still have it, although my oldest son is currently using it to make military ships. Lost some of the peices when trying to use it in the local pond when I was maybe 12.

One of the first older sets I ever got. It was advertised as a City set with box and instructions and I was still a novice at identification so I bought it. Then I examined it and realised it predated City by some time! This set started me on collecting older sets which, truth be told, I now tend to prefer.

@Rogue10: I never floated 4011 anywhere but the bathtub and the sink. Mainly because I've never really had a "local pond," but if there had been one that I went to regularly (there was a small lake my brother occasionally went fishing in, but we didn't go there that often), but I think I would have been too worried about losing pieces or the lake water getting it dirty if I had.

I remember this set as a kid. Mostly I remember taking the propellers 8824 and using the motor from 8868 and with a lot of bulky gearing extending over the back of the boat making it cruise around a very large puddle in spring one year.

Wait…didn’t we establish that the yellow thing in the aft cop’s hand is a drip torch for firefighters?

...are those hot tubs at the back of the boat, just in front of the winch? I think we may need to do an audit of how the Lego City Police are spending their budget

By in Poland,

Looks lovely. I personally have the 7899 which I like very much. Generally I'm fascinated by boats (despite the fact that I'm scared of water and can't swim) and I wish I had more boat sets.

Great set. Particularly notable for being the best source of those 2349 hinged car roof with sunroof panels.

By in Netherlands,

A beauty. I like how it has engine housings in the back with windows using car roofs. Back then they really got creative with the parts they had! So nostalgic...

By in Turkey,

I liked how simple and beautiful boats were back then. They didn't need to be overly large. And there were little bit of cute functions here and there.

It's the windows on the access to the boat engines.

I got 4031 in a haul a few years back, and it's a lovely build. I know I have one of the black hulls somewhere, not sure which boat it's from. Despite preferring the brick-built ships, I can't bring myself to get rid of these. They're just too good.

He apparently is at the bottom of the river, sleeping with fishes... concrete shoes will do that to you.

The Cookie Mafia strikes again.

The 'Boat' series is underrated, I wish the stickers on the hulls stayed on better though.

My brother had this set. I love it. Great boat and nice expressions on the police faces.

In either case:"OmNomNom!!!":D"

That is the Cookie Don, known as "King Cookie". The enforcers are the smugglers / crooks from the modular building series. However, Ace Brickman (private eye) is 100% sure it can't be his childhood best friend, Cookie Monster. He even lets Cookie Monster in on all the intel he's gotten on the mysterious "King Cookie". Needless to say, all potential witnesses end up in the river, compliments of King Cookie.

Simply put, Cookie Monster only plays dumb. Make no mistake, he is as ruthless and smart as Al Capone was at his height. The only one who knows this is Oscar, (because he knows everything) but nobody listens to a Grouch!
